Do you see these wings on my back?
They say they are beautiful,
Elegant even.
That’s not what I see.
In my eyes they are ugly and tattered.
Unfit to be seen by the world, for they may disgust.
Yet you keep telling me your version.
That they are fine and nothing’s wrong with them.
But I don’t believe you,
And there are others who don’t believe you either.
With their wings so pretty they see what I see.
It will only take a couple more of them,
To confirm my suspicions and throw me over the edge.
Where at the bottom I will lay broken.
The question is……

That’s what it is wanted
But beneath this shell,
Buries the greatest threat
The demons of emotion
Sorrow, Jealousy, Hatred,
I shall don this mask,
Locking away these monsters
But chains are old and worn

A bloody torn page
From a person filled with rage
burning from the inside
Where only the inner demons can reside
Lost in hate and pain
Will continue to stain
This story all your own
Inside is written is all you've ever known
Rage is giving birth to more pain
Slowly the brain goes insane
The story is getting short
It's time to abort
Slowly become nothing

Judgment and anger towards your neighbors,
who have done nothing wrong to you.
Soldiors marching off to war, to a battle
they don't know what they're fighting for.
Freedom of speech and liberty for all,
yet our voices are muffed and suppressed.
But we still hold tight to our hope,
and keep our dreams alive.
To remake America, what its meant to be.
A summer afternoon, a glass of lemonade,
