Phase Two
Alexander ran deep into the woods, so deep we were on land that I have never seen before.
There were plenty of trees; Large trees that touched the sky, there were all colors all around me.
I saw greens, browns, reds, and oranges.
He sat me down after a while and I planted my two feet to the ground.
All my senses have increased since I was a human.
My hearing was sharp as a blade, my scent was to the tee, and my vision was crystal clear.
“Why don’t we start with something small, like a doe.” Alexander suggested
“A DOE!?” I exclaimed, “A doe is not small”
“But it’s easier to hunt. I like doe, but I love to hunt mountain lions occasionally.”
“Occasionally? Okay. What do I have to do to hunt a doe?”
“First you have to be quite. Then use your sense of smell, to get the scent of that animal. This hunting technique will take a while to master. But go a head and try it.”
I nodded at him, and started to sniff out that damn doe.
I walked toward the left and then sniffed and I moved to the right and sniffed.
I could not pick up the scent of that mother ******** doe.
I hear a chuckle from behind, Alexander was laughing at me.
“What is so funny? Watching me struggle is pleasure to you?” I yelled at him.
“It is very amusing. Yes, it is funny. But let me help you hunt.” He told me.
“Fine. You may help me. But you do know that I am-“
“That you are capable of doing this on you own.” He said, interrupting me.
“I HATE IT WHEN YOU DO THAT!” I said yelling at him.
He chuckled and started telling me what I did wrong.
Alexander explained step by on the “Proper Way to Hunt”
And I took “mental” notes, and followed what he said.
After 2 hours and 45 minutes, I finally hunted my first doe.
“Do you understand now? You have to follow through and keep quite.” He told me.
“Yes. I understand now.” I said to him, just a little bit pissed.
After I caught my doe, I feasted on it like it was Thanksgiving dinner.
Alexander helped me skin the doe and we drank the blood.
I ate pieces of the raw meat, and nearly threw up.
So Alexander made me a fire and cooked the meat for me.
It tasted so much better.
He chuckled as I ate the cooked meat.
“What?” I asked him, finishing my last piece.
“Your acting like me when I first started out. Cooking the meat, and loving the taste of cooked meat.” He told me.
“Oh. I never knew that we were so alike.”
“I knew from the start.”
“How?”
“How do you think we fell in love?” He sat closer to me and placed his hand on my shoulder.
He continued, “I felt such a strong connection, when we first met. You were different from me, but again you were just like me. From that moment I knew that our lives would never be the same.” He finished
Alexander leaned into me and press e lips on top of mine.
The kiss was light at first, but then it gradually got deeper.
His lips were warm and soft on top of my cold lips.
The kiss seemed to last forever, but it was a brief moment in time.
I felt a cold, bitter breeze on my lips, as he slowly pulled away, but his eyes never left mine.
“I love you, Alexander. And I always will.” I said to him in a low, sweet voice.
The little phrase I said put a gentle smile on his face.
“I love you too, Anya. And I always will.” He told me back.
