Chapter 1: Our Eyes Meet
Chapter 1: Our Eyes Meet
It was just that average day. When two eyes meet each other, love at first sight. At that day, that time, and that moment, I knew that he liked me. My name is Collie, just a average girl with a secret, a secret that should never be revealed.
“Hey Collie! Wait up!” I turned her head and saw someone running after her. It was my best friend Jess.
“Hi Jess.” I whispered. “What’s up?” I asked as I pulled out a small book. Jess looked over my shoulder and looked at the small book then stepped to my side.
“I was wondering what you were doing over summer vacation.” she said smiling at me. I dropped my book and froze in my tracks. “What’s wrong Collie?” she picked up my book and handed it to me.
“Oh it’s nothing.” I laughed and continued walking. “What I’m doing over vacation?” I asked.
“You herd me loud and clear.” she laughed. “What else would I ask?!” she laughed. I began to think.
“I shouldn’t lie to her, she’s my best friend! But I can’t reveal my secret.” I kept staring at the book as I walked. “Nothing special. What about you?” I put the book in my mesh bag and looked at her.
“I was wondering if you wanted to come to my beach house over the summer.” she asked pulling out her keys to her house. I was in shock. Someone wanted me to come with them to their beach house!
“Sure. What time should I arrive at your house so we can leave?” I asked her as we walked into the mansion of a house. We put our bags in the mud room and sat in the living room.
“Actually, we’re leaving now.” she said getting a mesh bag from the side of her chair. I was shocked.
“But I didn’t even pack yet!” I said running into the mud room getting my bag to run home and pack. Jess laughed and pulled me back into the house.
“We already have a bag for you.” she took out another mesh bag with many birds on it and handed it to me. “I had a feeling that you were going to say yes so I already had a bag packed for you.” she smiled and pulled me outside. “Lets go.” we entered a limo and we got driven to an airport. We were going to the Bahamas.
(AT THE BAHAMAS)
“WOW!” I shrieked with joy as I entered her beach house. “This place is even better that your house back home!” I ran into each room and looked around. “What room will be mine?” I asked still running and shrieking with joy. Jess began to laugh and got my hand. She lead me to a green room and put my bag on the bed.
“This will be your room. Like it?” I was shrieking with joy.
“I LOVE it!” I said jumping on the bed with joy in each jump. “What’s this?” I asked curiously pushing a button on the bed. The bed began to vibrate.
“That’s the massage feature of the bed.” Jess said turning it off. I calmed down and sat on the bed thinking.
“Want to go shopping?” I asked her as I stood up. She nodded yes with joy. We ran out and went to the shopping plaza. We shopped everywhere and bought everything we wanted. I bought all of these fashion gloves. Jess was wondering why I bought them, but I wasn’t allowed to tell her. We got tired and went to lunch at a fancy restaurant. As we walked in, I saw the most beautiful guy in the world. His hair was a dark brown, almost like a chocolate color, along with his eyes. He sat there alone drinking a coffee. It seemed like he was waiting for some friends but they never showed up. He saw me and stared at me and I stared at him. When our eyes met, I knew that we had to be together.
Chapter 2: The Perfect Match
We got a table right next to him and we too drank coffee. I was facing him looking at his brown eyes. Jess was looking at me in shock.
“Uh, earth to Collie. You there?” she asked waving her hand in my face. I woke up from shock.
“Yes Jess?” I asked with a sweet voice like I just had my first kiss, when I never got a kiss in my life. Jess laughed and sat back on the chair.
“That’s Allen Collie, he goes to our school.” she said putting her coffee down. “He is the most popular guy in the school because he is a jock.” she said and whispered something in my ear, “He’s an outgoing guy. Accept his friends aren‘t around.” she whispered. I stood up and walked over to him ignoring Jess. “Go say hi to him if you like him.” she whispered again. I was in shock.
“I can’t! I’m too shy.” I took a sip of my coffee and closed my eyes and sighed. “I’m just a shy ninth grader, shy near anyone I don’t know.” Jess sighed and took my hand. We walked over to Allen.
“Hi Allen. I’m Jess and this is Collie. We go to the same school.” he looked at us and I waved at him from behind Jess’s back.
“Hi.” he said looking at me. He stood up and walked over to me. “It’s very nice to meet you Collie.” she took my hand and kissed it. As he did that, I blushed.
“The pleasure is all mine.” I whispered to him. “Hey Jess, I need to go look at something.” I stepped out from behind her back and looked at her. She nodded her head yes. I ran off to the side of a store. I focused all my energy and turned into a super neko. As I jumped on top of a building, I thought to myself, Should I really go back to school in the fall? I sighed and jumped from building to building looking for any trouble. I didn’t find any so I returned to the beach house with Jess. She was sitting in a chair reading a magazine. “Hi Jess.” I said as I sat down.
“Hi Collie. So what did you have to look at?” she asked still looking at the magazine. I was shocked.
“It was this cute dress in a store. It was too much for me to get.” I laughed and picked up a magazine myself. I sighed and went to my room and fell asleep.
(BEGINNING OF THE SCHOOL YEAR)
Jess walked to her lunch table with Allen and his friends. They were talking so loud that Jess‘s ears began to hurt. He sighed and looked around.
“Hey Jess, where is Collie?” Jess looked around and became puzzled.
“I don’t know. She never comes to school in the fall for some reason.” Jess sat down and began to eat her lunch. Allen on the other hand wanted to know why Collie wasn’t here.
Chapter 3: The Mystery of Collie
As Jess and Allen were eating lunch, I was on top of the school looking for anything to do. I had finished school ten times and was sick of starting the same school over and over again. Every time I finished school, I would change my name and keep graduating over and over and over again. I sighed and jumped into the trees. I jumped in the air and flew to her house. While I was flying, Allen saw me jump down from the roof and take off from the tree. His mouth was hanging open. He wanted to see her.
“I’ll be right back.” she said to Jess. He ran outside and got to my house before I did. When I got there, I saw him standing on my front porch. He had seen me land. As I walked up to him, I blushed and thought if he figured that I’m a superhuman.
“Hi Allen.” I whispered to him as I opened my door. He walked into my house with me.
“Nice place Collie.” he said as he sat down in a chair. I sat in the chair across from him. We looked at each other.
“Allen, did you see me, uhh, “fall from the sky?” I asked him while looking at my feet. He nodded his head yes and took my hands.
“Why did you fly Collie?” he asked looking directly into my sea blue eyes. I pulled my hands out of his and began to cry a little.
“I’m…a superhuman.” I said still crying. He smiled and took my hands back.
“That’s ok Collie.” he kissed my hand. I stopped crying and looked at him. He had a smile on his face.
“You’re not…freaked out?” I asked him whipping my tears away. He shook his head no.
“I wanted to tell you this when we were alone, but we never got o be alone until now.” he got out of the chair with my hands still in his hands. I blushed and looked at him. “Collie, I love you.”
