1. I am not a girly girl by pretty much any stretch of the imagination. I'm not always that respectful of valley girls or girly girls either. In fact, frequently I kind of look down on them because they tend to be a bit on the superficial side and aren't generally the smartest people. Actually, some of them are shockingly smart and just don't seem like it at first glance, but I digress. There is one thing that I do admire them for. Their skills with makeup. I'm not the type of girl who wears makeup for anything smaller than prom, a wedding or a funeral and I have yet to master the art of plucking eyebrows. When I see the skill and work that goes into some of these girls made up faces, even the daily ones, I'm kind of amazed. First of all, it's not all that easy picking out the right colors and then, after that, one still has to know how to put the stuff on right. I saw a video on YouTube with a girly girl putting on makeup and it looked totally easy. I thought,"If she can do it, why can't I?", so I tried. I ended up looking like a transexual male panda. Needless to say, it was a fail.
2. I recently experienced something that made me realize this ~ People have very different perspectives on the same things and it's sometimes a really good idea to put how you feel out there. People won't know how you feel or what you think of something unless you say it. It can be hard to do sometimes, but it's really worth it in the end a lot of the time.
3. My hands are interesting. If all of my fingers are straightened and stretched to their fullest extent, then the fleshy bit of muscle at the bottom of my hand where my thumb connects to my palm is covered in little horizontal lines ~ Kind of like smaller versions of the "life line" and other such things found on one's hand. When I bend my thumb in toward the center of my palm another set of lines appear and form a grid with the other set of lines. It's pretty interesting.
4. I've become addicted to avatar art. Fortunately, I have gold to support my addiction. This makes me happy. I spend many evenings simply searching through the Gaia mini shops to find good art at a good price. There are some surprisingly skilled artists here and it's awesome to be able to buy art without having to spend actual money.
