Haku's Letter.
Up in the air, soared a bird, not just any bird, but a seagull. It seemed to be searching for something.
The sea bird glided down to one of the many windows of the mansion, which happened to be Haku's very room.
Fluffing it's feathers as soon as it landed on the window sill, it began pecking at the window screen, as if asking for something or rather, someone.
She was startled from her trance, her eyes snapping open as her elbows left the desk she was leaning against. The sound of rapping at her window made her heart pound. What or who could it possibly be? Frightened, Haku put her courage forth, venturing to the window with tiny steps.
Arriving at the glass, Haku pulls the curtains back, her eyes peeking out to the bright world outside. It was there on the ledge she saw the bird. Wait, not a bird, but a seagull!
She threw the curtains wide, her hands snapping the locks on the windows to an open position to let the bird in. Only one person she knew who was friends with seagulls. Retsu.
Her heart jumped with excitement and aniexty now. She hadn`t heard from Retsu in the longest time since he left with his crew. She worried about him on the seas every night, praying he`d be alright and return back to her.
The seagull flew away from the window for a second as Haku opened it and flew back landing on the table, near the musical toy bi-plane.
It called out to Haku with the squaks it makes and lifted one of it's legs and placed it back down. On that leg was a note tied up to the seagull's leg.
It was a little wet and sandy from flying over the ocean and beach but there was one thing that said it really was from Retsu. The tag that said:

"Hey, hey, calm down" Haku put her hands near the bird, her red eyes finding the note attached to the leg. Gently, Haku picked the seagull up gently, her fingers removing Retsu's letter from around it's leg.
"So your Retsu-kun's little messanger aren't you?" she smiled, a hint of laughter in her voice. She placed the seagull back beside the musical bi-plane, her body moving over to sit on the bed.
She unrolled the letter, her eyes moving from left to right, intaking in every word written.
The seagull squirmed as Haku picked it up in order to remove the letter from its leg. Once it was free from her grasp the sea bird fluffed it's feathers and sat down.
The bird gave out a call after Haku asked it a question, then it fell silent. Waiting.
Dear Haku Yowane,
I decided to check on you by writing a letter to you and I hope you been doing well while I am away on my journey out in the seas. I'm having such a great time and it has been a while since I've sailed the seas along with my crew. You understand right? Just, thought I'd say hello and say how much I miss you and love you. To tell the truth, I'm still not sure how much longer I'm going to be sailing. It's both my and my crew's choice of what we should do. So, please hang in there, Haku? I believe in you and please be careful. Hope you're having as much fun as I am. If you wish to write me back, just tie your note to the seagull I sent. See you next time.
