rineco's story chapter 16-20

CHAPTER 16
The town was very busy, the streets were filled with people. Apparently there was some kind of festival going on here too. The people were all dressed casually,or in their pajama's, heading towards the center of the crowded town. Cars were lined up bumper to bumper, avoiding the people that crossed the streets carelessly.
I frowned as we landed out of veiw of the crowd. "I really dont care for crowded area's." I mumbled flatly, the began walking with Yoru deeper into the town. "I wonder where they could possibly be at." I looked up at the tall hotel buildings, and bussinesses, along with all of the shops, that were closed. Street lights and headlights seemed to be the only thing lighting up the town at the moment. "Humans dont usually stay up this late, do they?" I asked puzzled as I looked around me. "Something big must me going on for them to stay up this late. It must be 1:30 or 2am already."
"Yea, I dont understand yet. Everyone should be asleep by now-humans require it. The town should not be awake like it is in the daylight. I wonder if this has something to do with the humans finding out about magic...I hope not. But I cant figure out any other reason why they would call out the whole town."
I didnt reply. Guilt began to seep back into my heart and mind. It was sorta my fault after all. I should have just hurried their as fast as I possibly could to get them out of that position. I thought as I looked ahead of me, somewhat being in a trance as my thoughts took over me.
Yoru's voice broke through my barrier of thoughts. "Hey, Rineco." He paused, and sniffed the air. "I think that I smell them. But there's so many other sents..its hard to tell.
"I tilted my head up, sniffing the air also, then nodded at Yoru. My instincts were still much stronger than his. "Yep, they're here. "I paused, and sniffed the air again, then started walking towards it. The sent seemed semi-close.
We were nearing it.
The farther I followed the vampire's sents the more people there were. The humans seemed to grow thicker and thicker as we reached the center of the town, till it was almost impossible to push through people anymore. It was like trying to push through a brick wall.
I stopped focusing on the sent for a moment and just looked infront of me. There stood a stage with a vacant podium. A curtain covered up the back half of the stage.
I didnt have to sniff the air anymore to figure out where this was going.
I tapped Yoru on the shoulder, distracting him from his own sent tracking. "Hey, they are in the back of that stage." I pointed towards it. "Im guessing that in any moment, the speaker will come out and end up reveiling them-then we are in for some trouble." I replied with a frown, and glanced back at the stage, thankful that it was still vacant of its future speaker.
"Ok. We have a few choices. Number one-keep pushing our way through these stuburn humans. Number two- Getting out of sight of them for a slick moment, and fly to the back of the stage, trying our hardest to draw as little attention as possible. Or, number three- Fly in there right now with no regret, beat some human asses, save our fellow vamps, and get the hell out of there!" He smiled at the last part.
"Hmm...ya know, either way were probably going to end up being spotted in the end. So, why not number three?!" I smiled back. "We might as well have some fun too!"
"Alrighty then." He smirked, then extended his bat wings. I did the same.
Gasps and screaming surrounded us as we launched off into our rescue mission towards the stage. I could feel millions of eyes on me and Yoru as we flew through the crowd into the unseen half of the stage.
People stared at us, seeming frozen as we landed. I couldnt help but smirk. The human's shocked and terrified expressions were priceless. I smiled, peal fangs bareing.
Thats when the screams started, and the chaotic, clumsy running. Yoru and I stood there for a moment in amusement, watching the humans scurrying off of the stage in complete terror and screams.
We definetly caught some attention. Three buff looking humans stepped out from a different room of the stage.
I smiled again. They looked frozen, and I could sence pure fear. But if I did not have these sences, I would say they covered up that fear pretty well. They all walked towards us with now trembleing arms and legs.
One of them had a pocket knife, where the other two had hand guns that pointed towards both me and Yoru.
Bullets would not hurt us. Not to mention they were very simple to dodge. I glanced over at Yoru who gave me a nod.
It was time to have some fun!
I smiled, then took a step towars them, hearing the gun shoot off. It came towards me in complete slow motion. I easily dodged it, and launched towards him with extradanary speed, to the point where it might just be impossible for a human to see me with their own eyes. Vampires, and most magical creatures were naturally extrodinarly fast by instnict already.
I tacked the subject with that speed and harsh pressure. It automatically knocked him off his feet, and flying straight into the wall behind him. He lay there, not moveing at all against the now blood stained wall. I know I did not kill him, seeing him move slightly and then groan. He did not move after that, so I figure he went unconcious. I smiled for a moment. My sences suddenly caught up with me, as I quickly swerved to the right, just missing the guy with the pocket knife-in which he must have been planning on stabbing me in the back.
I did a twirl like move with my speed, knocking him off the ground with my leg, and sending him skidding across the ground towards Yoru.
Yoru had just finnished up with his first subect who lay on the ground maimed to death.
He definetly did some major over kill.
I looked away from his first victim. It made my stomach knot up, and seem to do flips. He didnt have to mangle him. The poor guy was ripped apart. Definetly major over kill. He could have done clean kills at least!
Yoru automatically kicked the guy into the wall, where I had kicked the other into. They both lay there, motionless.
I didnt have to look back at the first guy, there was no possible surviveing for him.
We rushed into the closest room, where the guards had came out of.
There, in front of us were three vampires, tied up, and in a steel cage. They were surrounded by garlic, and crosses. I couldnt help but laugh. Humans made up such silly theory's.
The vampires eyes seemed to light up as we walked into the room.
I looked caustiously around as Yoru grabbed a key ring from the near desk, and started trying out the keys in the lock.
I could hear frantic footsteps speeding towards the room. I faced the door, ready to fight some more. I wasnt nearly tired at all yet.
Out from the hallway appeared two more guards. I smiled at them, bareing my fangs again. Both of them stopped, frozen for a moment, and slowly started to each pull out a gun.
Once again, this would be an easy job.
Two guns went off. With ease I dodged the bullets, then menovered around the back of the guards.
I paused before doing anything, waiting to see their expressions.
They both seemed to freeze again when they realized I was no longer in front of them.
Both of them turned their heads towards me. With another smile, and speed, I grabbed both of their heads and bashed them together, leaveing them on the ground unconcious, and most likely with throbbing headaches for a couple days.
I turned around towards Yoru. He had just gotten the cage unlocked, and was now untieing the vamp's.
I took a step forward with a smile, then suddenly stopped. My sences just kicked back in again, but I was too late.
I let out a cry of pain, getting Yoru's imediate attention. My shoulders went back, and I seemed paralized for a split second. I automatically felt tears in my eyes as a sharp, throbbing pain inched down my upper back and into the rest of my body.
I looked behind me with glareing watery eyes at the guy who had just stabbed a knife through my wings.
With slick motion, I grabbed ahold of his neck, squeezeing it as hard as I possibly could, which would be a lot since I am much, much stronger than a human.
I felt nothing by this as I watched his face turn a bright red. His eyes began watering, and bulgeing a little. He wrapped his hands around mine, and struggled to get them from his neck-which was pointless.
I smiled at this, not knowing why.
After a moment, his hands lost their grip on mine, his eyes also slowly closed. He had finally given up. I could no longer feel the pounding pulse of his neck. I dropped him on the ground, looking down at him.
Thats when it hit me. I felt frozen, and suddenly realized that my body was shakeing uncontrolably, and I was crying. Tears poured down my cheeks as I looked down at the deceased human that I had just killed with my own hands with no emotion at all.
I stepped back a little from the body, then fell over backwards on to the ground.
My werewolf and vampire instincts had just tooken over, and I hadnt even realized it, nor had any control. I was becomeing a monster now. Killing humans, when they obviously had no chance at all, and then haveing no feeling over any of it. There was my werewolf side seeping out. I had gotten all agressive and careless. Anger had taken over me, and I killed that human with my bare hands. No regret at all.
Now I could sence my vampire side. It was tortureing me. I could smell the humans blood right next to me. It felt so tempting. The smell was too overpowering. I closed my eyes, trying to get my focus off the delicious smell.
Mmm...but I could almost taste it now. The humans blood, it would still be warm, and fresh yet. The human was already dead...would it matter now?
Yes, I could taste it very well now, the flavor overpowered me. I had not had fresh blood in a while.
I opened my eyes to the sight of the humans neck. I automatically released, and wiped the blood off my lips. Stareing at the human, I realized what I had just done. I had let my vampire side take over too.
I looked down at my hands, that were blood covered, covering up some of my unique tattoo's.
All the tattoo's were back now. I looked at my arms. Yes, I was in my special form again. I sat there for a moment, forgetting my surroundings.
Guilt now seeped in. How could I have let myself do that? It was not a fair fight. I did not have to kill him. That only made me a monster now too. But, those sences, desires and instincts....they are all a part of me. I can never get rid of them, nor resist them forever. I was already a monster. No, I was a vampire and a werewolf. There was nothing that could be helped-when thats who I am.
I looked up, comeing out of my sulking, and guilt trip that I had just given myself.
Yoru, along with the vamp prisoners stared down at me.
"Hey, Rineco...you alright there?"
I did not want to speak quite yet, afraid of how my voice would come out. So I just nodded. Yoru lended me a hand then helped me up, giveing me a supportive smile. I guessed that he and the other vamps had just seen what I had done.
"Ok then, lets get the hell out of here before more people arrive." He gave me another smile, "I will carry you Rin. I dont think you can fly very well with two peirced wings."
Oh yea, my wings. I had almost forgotten. Thinking about them now, the pain came back to me. It was a throbbing, and almost unberable pain. How could I had forgotten about that?!
Before I knew it, Yoru had scooped me up into his arms, and we took off into the night along with the other vamps.
The fly was somewhat awkward for a moment. But I was comfortable, and began to feel exhaustion take over me. My eyes began to slowly close as I curled into a smaller ball in Yoru's secure arms. My thoughts drifted to Tsukai. I wondered how he was doing in the afterlife. I smiled as I thought of him, then drifted off into sleep.

CHAPTER 17
I awoke to the sight of Yoru's blue and white eyes stareing down at me.
"Yay! She has finally awoken." He laughed.
I looked around the room, which seemed like a big blur at that moment.
My vision finally cleared. We were back at the dark angel village again, and in Yoru's tent. The other vampires that we had rescued stared at me with a smile. "Thank you miss Rineco."
I nodded, still feeling half asleep as I sat up and rubbed my eyes.
I extended my wings out, only feeling minor uncomfort. It was nothing to worry about now, it would be easy enough to fly. I yawned, then uncovered the blankets from me. "Any new problems develop yet?" I mumbled with another yawn at the end.
"Nope, havent heard anything atleast. Who knows what the humans will do now."
I stopped for a moment, frozen. My vision began to fade until it went into total darkness. Miasaki's voice echoed into my head.
"Rineco, be aware of your surroundings and the people. Always keep your guard up, and use your special sences that you have. Do not, for a moment forget about the potential you have. You can do anything if you beleive in yourself; it will come to you. Dont lose hope on things, and always be aware of everything, and everyone."
Miasaki's young and strong voice faded into the distance, and my vision suddenly came back abruptly, leaveing me slightly dizzy. I covered my eyes with my hands automatically, waiting till I got steady.
When I removed my hands, the group stared at me.
"What was that all about!?" Yoru asked.
"Miasaki." I said in a monotone voice.
"Dont lose hope on things and be aware of everything and everyone." I repeated, mumbleing Miasaki's last words under my breath. Was she saying that someone here was not who we thought they were perhaps? That was all I could get out of it.
And she was right to remind me about being aware of things. I was often careless with my sences, and instincts. I really did have to get more focus on things.
I studied the people here for a moment, studying them.
Yoru stood beside me. I already knew somewhat who he was, and I knew what he was. I had no worrys about him.
But the other three. Would those be the ones that Miasaki was refering to?
There were two girls and one guy stareing back at me.
One of the girls sat on the ground in the corner of the tent, seeming to be in a daze. She had long silver-blond hair that strtched down to her lower back. A delicate and small braid hung down the left side of her head, which was laced in with a black ribbon and tied at the end. Bangs framed each side of her face, covering up her blueish-grey eyes. She had a slim figure, draped over in a black simple dress with lace arm warmers and lace up sandles. Bat wings fluttered behind her. She looked over with tired eyes at me, and gave me a small smile, her right fang showing as she did.
I smiled back and looked to the girl who sat near her.
This girl had dark brown hair that reached down a few inches above the center of her back. She did not look at me, and seemed withdrawn from the group. Her bright green eyes studied the ground, and held a sence of nervousness as I stared at her. She had a simple grey tanktop that had white lace around the top and bottom, and blue jeans. She was much plainer that the blond sitting next to her. She had a small figure also, but seemed very short as she sat down, most likely around five foot three. She had no bat wings, which I asumed she put away by the magic that vampires have. We can easily make our wings dissapear when we need to.
But then I realized something.
There was a human sent in here. I had not even thought about that! I mentally slapped myself, and looked over at the guy that sat on the other side of me. I figured Yoru and him must have been chatting as I was unconcious.
He had two ice like silver eyes that were studying me deeply. His straight light brown hair covered some of his pallid face, and dropped down to his collar bone. He wore a black tee-shirt and grey, comfortable looking jeans. He also had no bat wings extending from his muscular but thin figure. He smiled at me also, his fangs showing.
I smiled back.
It was simple to see who the human was.
I could smell her now, the more that I focused. The brenette was for sure the human. I glared at her for a moment, studying her throughly. I could already sence fear and anxiety raiseing in her. Her muscles tenced up and she looked around the room nervously, fidgeting in her place.
I smiled. I had already made up my mind that I would not hurt her. She was young yet, probably only fourteen, and just assigned to watch us. I wondered how the other vampires hadnt figured out that she was a human. Their sences must have been off from all the other human sents around them. I guess it would be hard to tell. But still, the humans had most likely kept her as a spy in there in case someone did happen to rescue them like me and Yoru had accomplished. Yep, I had this figure out now, and it was time to burst her bubble.
I walked over slowly to her, and stood over her. She flinched, then looked up at me with a nervous frown.
I could sence that Yoru and the others were stareing at me, wondering what I was doing.
The human sent was very strong now, but I was able to control myself.
"So how long have you been a vampire for miss-?"
She stumbled in her words, and spoke very lightly and shyly. I could barely hear her.
"I-I dunno...five y-years maybe? and I am..Ezuki."
I smiled politely. "Ah, so have you all known eachother, or had they taken all of you from different groups?"
Her face began to get redder, and I noticed that she started shakeing. The others must have noticed it too, because they began to step forward towards us.
"Uh..uhm..They had all known e-eachother I think. I had been the first c-caught...they never knew me..."
"Ezuki?"
"Y-yes?"
"You are a human, are you not?" I smiled again, but in a friendly way.
She had completly froze, not a mucle moved. Her eyes seemed to bulge out, and glaze over with tears. She face was a bright cherry red color. She looked down from me, with a tramatized and unsure look. Tears dropped from her eyes, and she started trembleing again.
Hmm..maybe I put a little too much pressure on her. I said in my mind, then lay my hand on her shoulder. Thats when I noticed the others were surrounding us. I could feel their glares peirceing into mine and Ezuki's backs.
"Ezuki? It is alright. We will not hurt you. Just, tell me a couple things, k?"
She looked up at me, still trembleing in fear. Her face seemed more pale now then red. Tears poured from her eyes more than before. I almost felt bad for her.
"Now, how did you get yourself into this mess?"
"I.." she paused. Her voice was in an innocent whisper.
"I..was assigned this job. Our family is in hard times right now, so they had me find a job, and I got one. It was to help our community out. Then we found out about the vampires....and I was automatically assigned for the job on spying on them if they escaped and to travel with them for a bit, then return back with information. You see, I hadnt been assigned this because they thought I would be good for it. They assigned me because I had overheard them speaking about it on accident, and they caught me. They said this would be a way to make it up to them, sence I knew about their secret now; and if I did, I would not lose my job, nor would they penalize my family for it. I...Im really sorry.." Her voice was in a mumble all the way through her venting, but I could understand it. I could also understand her point on it, and was not going to hurt her it.
I heard mumbleing behind me. I patted Ezuki's back. " Ok, ok. That is all we needed to know now." I smiled at her.
Yoru's voice interupted my comforting towards Ezuki.
"Ok, but now what are you going to do? You cannot let a child travel with us, or leave her with vampires or other magical beigns..she would get killed. But, would that maybe be best for her? We cannot have her telling on us now. That was our whole reason for this mission; to stop the humans from finding out a crap load of stuff about us." He glared at me, then at Ezuki.
I felt her muscles tence under my hand. She grew even paler as more tears streamed from her eyes.
I stood up, then glared back at Yoru.
"No! We will not kill her. It wasnt her fault for this happening. She didnt mean to eavsesdrop, nor did she sign up for this; shes only helping her family out. So no! We will not kill her, and I will kill anyone who try's!" I yelled in Yoru's face.
I hadnt understood myself why I was getting so protective over a human. I shouldnt have been, and I knew that. Right now If I sent her off, she would most likely return to the humans, and tell all about her little vampire adventure. I should kill her. But I didnt want to. I seen her point, and veiw on things-which is what made it hard. It wasnt her fault for getting into this, just like it wasnt my fault for being born like this. There are just some things that we have no control over in our lives.
But I knew that I shouldnt let my heart get in the way of this. I was doing something dangerous by protecting this human. I was risking all of magical kinds saftey, not to mention I had just threatened to kill the only...close to friend that I had now in this world.
Yoru stopped and stared me in the eyes. A disgusted look formed over his face. "Are you insane?!" He paused, and shook his head, then intencened his glare on me. "Rineco! You know what you just said, dont you? You pretty much just said that protecting this human means more than saveing our magical kind! We CANNOT let her go! Dont you realize that?! If we do not kill her, then we are takeing a huge risk that our kind will be found out. We cant do that! I will not let you do that!"
He took two steps towards me, until we were now eye to eye. I glared back up at him as I thought silently to myself. I could feel tears glaze over my eyes again as the pressure on me arose.
Yoru was right. I couldnt let her go, our mythical world would be torn apart if she did happen to tell them. In which, I knew in my heart that her adventure would get found out about some how. But....I just didnt want to see another human get killed. I did not want to kill her. Besides, she was innocent, and still young. This was not her fault..
I suddenly realized that I was crying as much as Ezuki was now.
"C'mon guys." He waved to the vampires that we had rescued. "Get her out of here..I will take care of this." He looked back at me, then over at Ezuki.
Ezuki sat on the ground curled up into a ball, trembleing with huge emerald tearfilled eyes. Her hair was now sticking to her face, neck, and chest from her tears. She looked so terrified. Her height made her look even younger than she was, which made her hard to look at, sence it made her seem even younger than she really was. I felt horrible. It was my fault again. If only I hadnt mentioned that in front of everyone. But, what had happened if I didnt. Would we had been soon found out about-most likely.
As my thoughts carried me away into another mental depression, I was physically carried away to outside the tent.
I watched Yoru with sorrow as I was escorted out against my will.
Yoru was beggining to approach the human, and kneeled down next to her. He had a somewhat sweet smile, and I figured that he was trying to calm her down and get her to understand. Ezuki continued trembleing, and crying, but nodded solemly. She glanced at me, then into Yoru's eyes again. Yoru sat on the ground and kneeled right next to her now. I knew what was comeing next, and apparently so did Ezuki. She closed her eyes tightly, letting out a terrified sob as Yoru wraped his arms around her. Yoru's face neared her neck. He mumbled something in her ear that I didnt happen to catch. All I could hear now was the sound of my own sobbing and heartbeat. How terrified Ezuki must have been right then.
Now came the part that bothered me the most, and I knew it would haunt me. I couldnt seem to look away, no...I didnt have the energy to look away. My mental depression seemed to temperarly paralize me.
Yoru softly pressed his lips against Ezuki's thin, pale neck. She shivered, and I could see her tense up anymore, which I didnt think was possible. I noticed Yoru saying something else to her, and rubbed her back gently. Then he bit her. His pearl like teeth sank smoothely into the side of her neck. Blood slowly began to drip down her neck.
Ezuki's eyes seemed to bulge for a moment, and fill with more tears. Her mouth fell open slightly, but no scream came out. Her hands tightly clutched onto Yoru's shirt as the venom from his bite slowly shut down her body. She closed her eyes tightly, and seemed to untense a little. Her face turned paler, and she let out a small cry of pain. I noticed Yoru rubbing her back more as he bit slightly deeper into her neck.
Thats when the tent door interupted the scene. The walk through that tent had seemed like forever, instead of a matter of seconds. Everything had been in slow motion.
I flinched. A loud scream rang in the tent, then the horrible sound of weak sob's. After a short moment, it stopped. There was no more sound. Everything seemed frozen.
I stared at the ground. The look Ezuki had given me, the look that she had given Yoru, that look full of fear and innocence. Everything seemed to go black. I was still aware of the tears rolling down my cheeks, along with the sound of my now steady heartbeart. That scene seemed to repeat in my head, making me regret not trying harder to look away. But it all suddenly stopped, then faded, dissapearing to the back of my mind to haunt me a different day. I passed out into another deep sleep.

Chapter 18
I had awoken to Yoru rubbing my back; Just as he had with Ezuki before he killed her. I grimaced. Those thoughts had already came back to me. I looked up at Yoru with a sorrowful frown. My eyes burned as I looked at him from all the tears that I had shed last night. Or was it last night? "How long was I out for?" I mumbled, then rubbed my sore eyes. Those words were beggining to become very common for me. I realized that I had passed out a lot latley. "You were only out for a few hours this time. You alright Rineco?" He asked me, his voice actually carrying worry. I could tell in his eyes that he actually felt bad.
"ah, and no. Im not." I looked down from him, then studied the background for a moment. There was no trace of Ezuki's body, nor any of the vampires. Not seeing any of them made me hope that it was only a nightmare, but I knew that it wasnt.
"I am really sorry Rin. Truthfully. I hadnt..exactly realized your thoughts on all of that until I got inside your head. But, you know that we had to, dont you? We just cant afford to risk all that for a mere human. I am sorry though. I have to admit myself, that was very hard to do;even for me."
I nodded, then something clicked in my head. "What do you mean inside my head? Do you mean that as in, you thought of it in my veiw, or did you actually, literally get inside my head?" I glared at him a little.
He hesitated, then spoke in a sort of guilty tone."I mean that I did get inside your head; literally. I read your mind. Your guard on your mind was completly down when you were asleep. I could sence that, and I couldnt resist to see everything that you had been thinking, and to get your veiw on things, becuase that might have been my only chance. Im sorry, but I couldnt resist. Oh, and I also found out that you got into my mind too a little while back?" He raised an eyebrow, but had a crooked smile.
I recalled that night in my head. Finding out that my enemy/friend that tried to kill me had a crush on me was quite big news. I felt heat arise through me, and knew that I was turning red. I hadnt wanted him to know that I knew that, and that I had broke into his mind.
"Yea..." I mumbled, and gave him a crooked smile back.
"So you know about my little cru-"He stopped in the middle of his sentence. I laughed quietly to myself, seeing that he was now blushing a little himself.
"Yea, I know about that." I smiled and laughed again.
"Heh..ok then." He paused. It seemed awkward for a moment.
I changed the topic. "So..what now I wonder?"
"Im not sure. Im guessing you havent gotten anything more from Miasaki...so, I guess we keep following your sence now." He replied.
Oh yes, my sence that we had been following before this nightmare. Sadly, that was in the back of my mind now. Everything recent that had happened was just too much, and it made me wonder if I could focus enough to follow that sence now.
"Yea.." I mumbled. "So do you think we should head out today then?"
"Sure. Its 4pm right now. Wanna leave out in around 2 or 3 hours? That would give us some time to get cleaned up and stuff."
"Sure, that sounds nice." I smiled. It did sound nice. That hot water from the spring just away from this village would feel nice right now. I did really need something to relax me. I felt very tense and uneasy. That would not be a good way to start traveling off again.
"Oh!" He smiled, interupting me. "Ya know, it has been a few days..sence I was able to get some of that delicious blood of yours..." He smiled larger now, showing off his fangs.
I felt myself cringe. I really didnt feel like going through any more pain than I was already in-even if it was mainly mentaly.
"Later tonight? Ok?" I said, delaying it, and hopeing that with some luck that he would forget.
"Yea, sure." He agreed.
From there I went back to my tent, and grabbed my luggage, dragging it down to the hotspring.
Once again, there was no one here. I had told Yoru that I would only be down here for a half hour or so, so I knew that he wouldnt be comeing down randomly. Other people I was unsure about though; so alike last time, I stripped down to my bra and underware.
I looked into the water at my reflection.
I was a mess. Purple seemed to be forever engraved under my eyes now. I hadnt gotten much sleep, except for the passing out so much latley; but my sleep never seemed peaceful. I hadnt had good sleep in a very long time now. My hair which strtched to my knee's was a knotted and matted mess. Not to mention I had leaves and such stuck in it from walking in the forest.
I stopped stareing at my reflection and walked in the water, which made ripples gradually spread through the once glass like spring. I dived into the clear water, the rush of the water surrounding me seemed to calm me. I could feel my muscles relaxing completely. I couldnt help but wish I could just stay underwater for a much longer time. I had stayed under till I completely ran out of breath, and swam to the top gasping for air. After wipeing the water out of my eyes and catching my breath, I tried combing out my hair with my fingers, and getting all the leaves out of it. It was much easier than it sounds.
I was finnsihed batheing now, but I hadnt felt like getting out of the water quite yet. I floated there for a moment, absorbing the peaceful surroundings. My thoughts drifted away into happier thoughts. Finding a way to bring Tsukai back to me was still at the top of my list of things to do. I smiled, and felt my heart picking up speed as I thought about being with him once again. I missed hearing his sootheing voice, and seeing his sweet careing smile every day. It was really hard not to just give up. But I knew that he would want me to be happy, and to keep going. Not to mention that our world somewhat was depending on me now. So no, I had no choice. I had to keep going with my life.
I swam to the shore, changeing into some new clothes.
I decided just to go simple, and throw on a lacey tanktop and a pair of black jeans that I had thrown in there, that I had also found in the nanny's dresser back at Yoru's mansion. I quickly got around and headed back towards the village.
I met Yoru on my way there, which made me glad that I hadnt stayed in the hotspring no longer.
"I will see you soon." He said as he walked past me, heading towards the spring now. "Ok." I answered, wondering if he even heard me.
Once I made it back to the tent, I packed up everything that I had, then waited.
Time went by slowly, and I soon knew that a half hour had passed on to an hour. I still waited, thinking that maybe he was just relaxing some.
After an hour and a half, I was begging to wonder if everything was alright. I could feel myself get anxious and impatient.
Two hours arived, me letting out an annoyed sigh. I got up,grabbing my bag and headed towards the springs.
A part of me felt worried, that something was wrong. But I didnt follow it. Nothing would go wrong for atleast a little while. It couldnt. We did eskape the humans after all, leaveing them nothing to follow, nor any witness. Yes, everything was just fine. I continued telling myself, atleast until I reached the vacant hotspring.
Yoru's unopened bag was still laying against a tree. The water was calm, like glass. I peered into the water, my heart raceing, hopeing that Yoru hadnt drowned. It would have been possible. Its easy to pass out in a hotspring from getting overheated, from there you could possibly drown. But no. There was no Yoru at the bottom of the spring, just the white sand bottom.
Worry now began to kick in even more. I could feel my heart beating slightly faster as I looked around me. "Yoru?!" I yelled, starting to feel panickedf as I waited.
No answer.
I walked around the spring. Right then, something caught my eyes.
Footprints. One pair of the foot prints happened to be drug from the spring, on to the ground into the surrounding forest.
Yoru.
Panic kicked in, and I felt myself starting to become uneasy. I felt lost for a split second, not knowing quite what to do.
But behind my worry, I could smell something.
Human blood.
I walked ahead a few steps, following the footprints.
There. Blood lay across the ground. It was human blood.
But in that, there was another sent. Vampire blood too.
I frowned. It happened to be Yoru's blood. I had gotten used to his sent from being around him so often now. His sent, along with the humans still wafered vaguely in the air.
I would have to follow it-and quickly.
I sprinted off into the woods, following the sent and footsteps as I did.
Questions filled my mind. What had happened? How did the humans find Yoru? How did they even manage to find out? Where did they take him to?
The sent began to get stronger the farther I travled. Humans always travled slow compared to vampires, so it was likely that I would be able to catch up to them. Vampires could run in seconds what could take humans hours.
The blood trail had stopped long ago, but the foot steps continued in the black ground of the trail.
I couldnt be too far behind now. The sent was very strong.
This was going to be easy.
Or so I thought...

CHAPTER 19
After a seconds glance of seeing startled Yoru, everything went in an upveiwed blur. I was suddenly stareing at the sky, slightly disoriented, but concious.
Three humans walked forward towards me, tugging on chained up Yoru to follow. I looked around me, comeing into realization on what just happened.
It was a trap.
All of it.
I mentally slapped myself. How could I had fallen for something like this?
One of the humans just happened to be one of the vampires that we had thought we "rescued." But how? They even smelt like vampires. They still did. I scowled down at them in confusion, then glanced around me with my periphial vision. I was hanging from a net, conncected to a branch on the tree, being lifted up into the air at about thirty foot off the ground.
How could I had been so stupid?! I could have easly senced something that simple. But my mind was on other things-like saveing Yoru. But now, who was going to save both of us?
Snapping me out of my thoughts suddenly, I realized that the ground was nearing as they carelessly untied the rope, letting me drop to the ground in a sudden rush.
The ground was making contact with my back before I could make any movements.
I fell hard to the ground, knocking the breath out of me.
I couldnt breath for a moment, and gasped for air, feeling helpless. The lack of air had me temporarly paralized. My vision went blurred for a moment, and my head began pounding. For a second, I figured that I was going to become unconcious-but I didnt.
I stared at the humans looking down at me, in a daze for a moment, trying to snap back into reality.
"So, this is the special powered one, huh?" The human smiled.
The blond haired girl walked up from behind the guy gracefully. "Sure is. I could sence her powers right away. She's definetly the one." She smiled, showing off vampire teeth.
I glared at her with squinted eyes in confusion. My head was still pounding, making it hard to keep my eyes open. My back, and the rest of my body was also throbing from the impact with the ground.
"You must be confused, eh?" She laughed, her blood red lips making a semi musical sound escape, except her laugh was more of an evil like giggle.
"First though, you should take a little nap." She smiled sweetly again.
Before I knew it, a black blanket engulfed me, and I was completly out.

I awoken to the sight of a black ceiling with grey bars reaching up to it. I sat up slowly, looking around me.
The room was completly empty. All that was in this room was a small cage, that I happened to be in.
I sat there for a moment, going over what all had happened, atleast until I seen the black steel door open.
The human that had talked to me first walked up to me. I glared at him.
"So, you wonderin' whats going on?" He laughed.
I nodded, but didnt say anything more. Just continued to keep my eyes focused on him.
"You see, we had captured some of your little friends long before this. We have even found some that happened to be just bitten, and turning into you monsters." I winced at that word. I had been hearing it a lot, and it began to bother me after a while. "You see, we had taken some of those newly turned vampires, and had them help us. They were against the ones who had turned them into your...species, against their will. They wanted revenge, and I certainly agree with them. We cannot have anymore of our race being turned into you creatures. None of you belong here. This is our world, a humans world. Not yours. So, we are prepared to fight you, till there is not even one of your kind, or any other magical kind left. You see, we have gathered up many of these humans that are lusting for revenge, and scattered them throughout this world. They will help us track all of you. And yes, I know there are other magical creatures also. They will go as well." He paused and grinned.
I felt frozen, like the world had stopped. The world was really depending on me now. The humans were going to join our war.
Would the world soon end up crashing?
Everyone seemed to hold some kind of hate for eachother. Would this eventually destroy us? And if not physically, then what about mentally and such. Would it eventually destroy our hearts and souls? Would it drain the good and love that we have left?
I cringed at the disturbing thought of this.
I had to do something.
I snapped out of my thoughts suddenly after the long pause. "And..how are you planning on destroying all of us?"
The human laughed. "By useing you ofcoarse. Koari talked all about you. You see, she has a special power, or an advanced sence, to where she strongly see peoples power levels and limits. She said that you were an extrodinary species; that you could do any possible spell that you wanted. Well, with the vampires that we have throughout this world, we are planning on gathering some different spells up. Maybe something to let down the magical guards, or, if possible, maybe just destroy all creatures at the same time if there is such a spell." He laughed demonically again.
I scowled darkly at him. I would NOT let him use me for that. I refused to use my powers for evil. I just couldnt let that happen-ever.
"No. You will not!" I yelled, putting my face up to the cage, with bareing teeth. I could feel a growl erupting up in my throat, with my riseing anger.
Damn it! I cursed in my mind. I could feel my anger, and that dangerous power rageing through me now.
I had to keep control of this. I didnt want to destroy anything. I just wanted to fix it, and make everyone happy. But would that even be possible?
Most likely not.
The guy laughed in my face again. "Hah..we will soon see about that." He turned around towards the door, and laughed under his breath again. "We will bring some..food, to you soon my dear." He said as he turned out the steel door, closeing and locking it behind him.
I paused for a moment, keeping silent until I heard the echoing sounds of his footsteps fade in the distance.
I had to get out of here-now.
I wraped my hands around the metal bars. To my surprise, they disinigrated imediately. I barely even had to think about it.
I grinned, and hopped out of the small cage, stretching my arms and legs out. Looking around me, I seen that there were no windows, nor vents. Nothing I could fit through that would simply lead me outside. Which, i guess was ok. I still had to find Yoru. Yoru-I wonder where he could possibly be.
I frowned as just slightly touched the door.
A clowd of dust surrounded me and filled the room as the door disinigrated with ease.
I couldnt help but smile. This felt so easy now. I barey had to put in any effort at all. Maybe because I was the anger and stress was still rageing within my heart and mind. I was determined and completly focused on my goal. I would certainly succeed; Somehow anyways.
I peaked around the corner. To the left was a dead end, but to the right was a never-ending looking hall way. I decided to walk slowly down it, staying alert and focused.
There were several other steel doors as I walked down the empty, dimily lighted hall way. This hallways seemed boring and plain, yet made me slightly uneasy. It felt like I was being trapped in an unfinished hospital building. It had that, nervebreaking smell that is hard to descibe. The walls were completly white, the floors being a smooth grey cement. The ceiling was not quite finnished. Bars hovered above me, with ceiling lights hanging from them. The hallways just seemed to stretch on and on and on...
I suddenly stopped in my tracks about ten minutes of walking down the desolate hallway. I could smell Yoru's blood, his sent.
I looked beside me. A silver steel door was placed into the wall as if it were part of it, only mismatched.
I put my face up to the door, and sniffed. Yoru was in there.
I automatically put my hands on the door, in which making it instantly disinigrate beneath them.
Wide eyes Yoru stared startled back at me as I appeared suddenly in the doorway. A smiled lit up his face. He put his hands around the cage bars. "Rineco! Your here!" He whispered happily under his breath as I walked up to him.
I put my pointer finger over my lips and glared at him for a slick moment. Putting my hands over the bars, I made them disinigrate. Yoru stepped out, stretching like I had before. "Im happy to see you. We really need to get the hell out of here! Did they tell you their plans?" He whispered in my ear.
"Yea, they did. I agree, we have to go!" I whispered back as we stepped out of the door and paused.
"By the way Yoru, do you know the way out of here?"
He nodded. "We just keep walking down this hallway for about five-ten more minutes till we reach the end. We will come to an exit door with a staircase which will lead us upstairs. The exit outside is near after that point. But if we happen to get caught going this way, were screwed."
"Ok." I mumbled under my breath as we walked frantically.
The hallway seemed to drag on going straight for a while. Finally, ahead I seen a turn to the right. i stopped when we reached it, and listened for any sign's of people approaching.
I winced. Footsteps and mumbleing were heard farther down the hall. Yoru must have noticed too, sence he also began looking for a place to hide in panic.
But, just as always, bad luck took over.
There was no where to hide.
I looked at Yoru. "We must fight them then?" I whispered into his ear as softly as I possibly could.
"I guess..I dont see any way to get around them. Lets take them by surprise when they turn the corner. We can kill them befor they even have a chance to react."
"Kill..."
Yoru glared at me. "Do you see any other damn way?!"
I cringed. I once again didnt want to kill anyone. I thought for a moment. There was no other way of getting out of this-I had no choice. I would just have to deal with it.
"No.." I mumbled under my breath.
Yoru nodded, and turned his head to the corner. "Get ready to attack Rin, they should be comeing very shortly now."
I nodded, and focused myself, feeling my power gather up into my hands.
Footsteps neared closer..and closer..and closer.
Nothing.
We waited patirntly.
No one.
"I can still sence them.." I murmured. Yoru nodded, taking a dagger from the inside of his coat pocket.
He lunged around the corner with stunning speed.
I soon heard a crash and yelling.
It was now my turn to come in.
I turned the corner sharply, seeing two unfamilular humans. One was already unconcious and laying by the wall. Yoru glanced over at me as he swung his fist hard, and with superhuman speed into the guys chest. Behind him neared the third human. He had not seen me, giveing me the luck element of surprise. I ran towards him, throwing my right fist hard into his stomach, making him fly against the wall. He lay there, still moveing slightly. With in the next second, the second human joined him. We looked down at the humans.
"Rineco..you know that I have to kill them, dont you? We cannot have them saying a word about our escape."
I stared at the now completly unconcious humans. I still did not think this was a fair fight in a way. "Fine. But you do it..I dont want to..."
"I figured that. Run on ahead, and meet me up the stairs. The door is straight ahead. I will be right there."
I nodded, and ran off towards the door to miss the gruesome killing scene.
There it was, right in front of me. Our escape back into freedom and away from the curious humans. I felt releif come over me. So close..
I reached for the door handle, just as it began to open on its own. I flinched, and stepped backwards quickly in pure shock.
I should have known.
A guard stood infront of me, a look of shock too. I looked down, noticeing he was holding some food, that I guessed was supposed to be for me and Yoru.
I smiled at him, then dissapeared behind him in a flash, kicking him down the few stares that had led to the door. He skid down them, dropping to uneatable looking food, and skidding to the ground below. He quickly got to his feet, and stood backing up with a shocked and scared expression.
I had no intentions of killing him though. He apparently didnt care to fight either. I noticed complete fear right away. He cowered in his spot, not moveing an inch.
"I will give you a choice. Go back to where you were and say nothing, or fight me and die. Your choice sir."
He did not say a word and rushed past me through the door.
"Oh!" I caught the back of his shirt. " Dont dare tell anyone about us. Im not afriad to find you." I glared into his eyes. I sent the message loud and clear. He pulled away with a few rushed nods of the head.
I couldnt help but smile, as I also walked through the doors.
Yoru was soon right me.
"Everything alright Rineco?"
"Yep. Its taken care of. Ready to get out of here for good?"
"Hell yes." He muttered as we came to another small room. The left was another cement staircase, leading up to another door, and at the right was our door to freedom.
As we walked out, I took a deep breath of the late night air. It smelt fresh, like autumn leaves, and the crisp night- much better than the musty basement smell that I was just beggining to adapt to. I sighed in releif, happy that we had escaped.
