Today was the first day of summer vacation. Next year I'll be in high school. I didn't do much today so far, just watched T.V. and my brother and his friend, played animal crossing (SOOOOOOO adictive, even though I can't do anything today because Tom Nook is remodeling his store), and talked to Ashely. I cut my finger while I was cutting the oranges for my Noah and Sam's lunch, but I got M&M's afterword so it was okay.
I caught a whole bunch of butterflies on animal crossing, and got back on fictionpress.com while I was on the phone with Ashely, which I haven't done in the longest time. I think I'll get on deviant art after this, which I haven't done in awhile either. I'm going to do an art journal with my mom, which should be fun, although I don't entirely know what an art journal is supposed to be. It sounds really fun though.
Yesterday wasn't very fun. We went bowling at school, but we didn't have any bumpers so we couldn't really score very much, and more often than not we got gutter balls. Ashely did surprisingly well. Actually, she won. She has no form, in fact, she just throws the ball overhand, but it works for her. This girl Ashlin playing across from us was the real problem. She kept stealing our balls and then getting them stuck by trying to bowl two balls at once, and then they'd hit that thing that knocks the pins over and stay in the gutter until someone else got a gutter ball. I asked her to stop using our balls and everyone in the vicinity who heard me and wasn't my friend (almost everyone in the vicinity, at least ten people) started yelling at me all at once. At one point, a guy called me ugly. I have no idea what that had to do with them stealing our balls, but that was when I started crying. After that bowling pretty much sucked.
All in all, I'm glad schools over, although I will miss my teacher Mrs. Seidel. She told me to write a book that becomes famous and to dedicate it to her. She's really nice. When we were reading the pigman and I did the last short answer question that asked what the last paragraph of the book was about, she said I understood that paragraph of the book better than any student she'd ever had. It made me feel really proud, and I guess praise works on me, because it made me like her a whole lot. That kind of praise is really inspiring. The kind of praise you care about. If someone tells me I'm a really good student, and I'm great at tests, I'll feel happy, but if someone tells me I understand book really well, I'll be elated. I suppose it's because I really, really, want to be good at reading and writing, so when someone tells me I am, it's the best thing in the world. If I ever do make it big with a book, I'll be sure to dedicate it, along with some other people, to her.
Last minute note: Right now I'm writing a book called The Halfbreed, and I think if I were to make it big with any of the books I've written, started to write, or even had an idea for so far, it'll be that one.
