I went with some friends to watch 17 Again. Let me just say, I am not a fan of Zac Efron, mostly because I have a strong dislike of the High School Musical franchise (mostly anything after the first movie). Then again, I just hate the Disney Channel, so dumb...
Anyway, I was totally not expecting much from this movie. However, I actually enjoyed it, and Zac Efron wasn't half bad in it. Here are the good and bad of the movie:
Good
- Zac Efron can act, proving he can act as a 30 year old inside a 17 year-old body. There were some cute fatherly scenes
- Thomas Lennon's character (Ned Gold) was HILARIOUS
- How the focus of the movie was not about oneself, but about family
Bad
- The movie has the dates wrong, Unless the events took place in 2007-2008 school year.
- Leslie Mann's voice is just so... high pitched and ditzy. Her character was a little annoying and a total ditz. And she is supposed to be the mom...
- There was an uncomfortable to watch scene between the daughter and father in this movie, that they could have gotten rid of. Or, Mike O'Donnell should have played the gay card...
Overall, the movie was pretty good, but not academy award amazing. Definitely fun to watch though

This is my BLURB of the DAY... or week... or month... or when I remember that I have a journal. It's just one of those things that is real hard to remember. Anyway, blurbs are random, and don't contain much useful information to most of you...
