Ok... So today I just found out some info on the marching band show... This year's show is called "Layer by Layer" which is all about "exploring the concept of layering in and layering out elements both visually and musically"... WTF does that mean!!! Plus... it will feature Pacabel's Canon in D, music by Pat Matheny, and John Mackey.... That I can tolerate....
Actually... I'm alright with the show... don't know what half of it means... but... I think we would be very good at it with what I'm interpretting.
Also... Isn't the colorguard visual enough!? I mean... HELLO... people have got to notice those big colorful things always zooming in the air... and never being caught rofl lol. (I catch them, of course biggrin ).
Plus... Leisten wants us to have two shows... TWO!!! One being the competition show (Layer by Layer) and the other being an actual halftime show featuring "Fun" and contemporary rock tunes. That could actaully be a Hell alot of fun! but... I'll have to learn two shows!!!! which means two different sets to learn, two different work to learn... I might get them mixed up!!! Well wont that just bring down our points at competitions... lol
Anyway... I'm really excited for the week of May 18. Not only is it Rush Week, it is also Colorguard Audition week, in which I hope we get a whole lot of Noobs so I dont have to carry the dreaded flag bags ninja ... shudder. I also hope that "Mime day" falls on one of the audition days so I can go to it dressed as a mime... and piss off stephanie... MWUHAHA!!! pirate
