The bandit loosened the grip on my hair and was about to shoot the guy behind him, but my instinct worked up and I elbowed his stomach as hard as I could and kicked his shin. He lost balance and fell.
“Why you little-” Greg said, but he flew sideways and bumped his head on the tree.
I looked around to see who that person was, the guy with the voice, and found myself staring at him.
His hair was silver. Really. Silver.
His hard expression somehow seemed bitter, almost cold. His eyes were amber that seemed to shine gold in my eyes and his long silver hair glittered in the dark. He was pretty cute, actually. I wondered how old he was. He looked too mature to be my age.
Behind him was a hole, kind of like a black hole in the space, I guess that’s what the whoosh noise was, and three girls climbed out of it like it was the most natural thing to do. We all watched with amazement.
The first girl had long red hair that curled on the end neatly tied in a high ponytail and a really cute red china dress on with gold-patterned flowers embroidered all over it. There was also golden fire sewed on the bottom and she had really, really high black thick heels on. She had a mischievous smile on her face like a kid up to no good but that seemed like what made her beautiful.
The second girl was totally opposite to the first one. She had soft pastel purple hair that was tied into one fat braid that slung over her right shoulder casually and a simple white dress that came to her knees. She also had simple white sandals on. That was about it. She wore a gentle smile among her lips and also seemed really peaceful and at ease despite the situation here.
The last girl had long black hair tied up in a simple ponytail with green eyes and a dress that matched the colour of her eyes with simple round glasses. For some reason, I thought she was the leader of this little gang, even though she looked the plainest of them all. Maybe it was the determination on her face, but she didn’t look snotty or snobby like Stephanie did when she was ordering her comrades, Stella and Megan, around. She just looked like the leader, like she had the control.
“Aquilo, must you be so violent?” the black hair girl said to the silver hair boy.
The red hair girl snorted. “He so deserved it, Gaea.” She said to the black hair girl. “They attacked first.”
“Yes, but Alina said we shouldn’t use force to normal people as much as possible unless absolutely necessary-”
“I thought the situation was pretty absolutely necessary enough.” The red hair girl said. “He almost killed Aquilo!”
“Besides,” the purple hair girl said, “they were about to kill our prime objective.” She glanced at me. “I have to agree with Ardea.”
“Well,” Gaea, the black hair girl said hesitantly. “If you say so, Naida…”
“I’m sure.” The purple hair girl, Naida, smiled.
“Hey! That’s so not fair. You always listen to Naida but not me.” Ardea, the red-haired girl, said hotly to Gaea.
Aquilo, the silver hair guy, scowled at them. “Would you quiet down? You’re scaring the little children.”
Ardea snickered. “I think you’re scaring them even more with your hair.”
“Okay, you make fun of my hair one more time and I’ll seriously-”
“Aquilo, stop threatening Ardea.” Gaea said. “And Ardea, stop making fun of Aquilo’s hair.”
“Who made you a charge here?” Ardea grumbled.
“She’s always in charge.” Naida replied with a smile.
“Alina made me the charge here because I’m the only one who can actually think back to what we were supposed to be doing in the first place.” Gaea replied. “Now can we focus on the situation here now?” she turned to me. “Who were those people that was attacking you anyways?”
“I-I don’t know.” I said with a stammer. “Who are you?”
