the grey guard.
my newest invention. Torelt. these creatures were brought into this world by Solon, to fight in his army. but even before they came, they had a system set up. each Torelt, also know as a grey hood, for the hoods they almost always wear over their head. anyway, each grey-hood is trained and tested when they become adults, and the elite join the grey guard. most of them specialize in magic and hand to hand, although some only use ranged combat and magic, some only use hand to hand and ranged, and some use all three. the lesser are mere soldiers, nowhere near the expertise of the grey guard. the grey guard is a formidable fighting force. and now, just a little bit about the Torelt. their skin looks blackened, although it is naturally that way. that much cannot be said about the clothing, it is singed by fire, to give ita blacker color. when the hood is lifted, a face a mother would have trouble loving is revealed. its teeth are oddly white but sharp and crooked, and the eyes, whilethe pupil color varies, is always tinged with a hint of red. the face, other than that is relativly human, except for a slight muzzle. they often speak somewhat like one suspects a snake would, except insstead of all the s's being extended, only some of them are.
