Luke 6:39-40
what draws the line for being a critic?
'everybody is a critic' but that is not what i am here for, i am talking about critics who give constructive criticism to others. i have taken this quotes from http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/art-discussion/apparently-some-people-do-not-know-what-criticism-is/t.48474131/

Let's not bark up this tree.
Because whether or not anyone draws "better" than another artist, doesn't change the fact that we all have eyes and can make judgments based on better art we've seen. Art critics, for example, are not necessarily amazing artists, but they're often better equipped to analyze and deconstruct techniques in a work of art than others.
Besides. If an amateur can spot problems, what do you think a professional's going to see? rolleyes
(But if you don't want to listen to that, I can assure you that there are artists here who could destroy that artist, skill-wise. NOT THAT IT MATTERS.)

i have to agree with pink 'coz that is what i have been seeing everyday and it is happening, not only on gaia but on other site as well like deviantart, elfwood, fanartcentral, livejournal and other art forums. then it hits me, how can someone who has not gotten very far would try to guide other artist who is much better than they are, or give constructive criticism while they themselves are not capable of doing it? or at least helped themselves improve, looking at some of those those critics their levels in skill hasn't moved on since last year they remained stagnant.
'those who know do it, and those who don't teach' i realized that when i went to conceptart.org critics there are great compared to me, and they are equipped to analyze and deconstruct technique, 'coz they are 'been there, done it!' i may be wrong but i wouldn't waste my time on criticism that is based upon speculation.
someone once told me that

pointing out mistakes is really that simple in art, because art are full of flaws and imperfection... as a matter of fact, you don't need to be an artist to see if there is something wrong with a picture savvy?
i can see the pattern now, he and pink does share the same view and that makes two of them and i respect them both.
i myself would want to be a critic one day but that isn't happening yet, i still have a long way to go before reaching the top and i felt like i am being hypocritical if i try to help other artist while i am still under developed, unless my intention is simply to destroy others artworks. the way i see it "those who know do it, and those who don't? teach or destroy what they can't create."
what i want to stress out, know the differences between real doctors from quacks
