I know that I use this journal to complain a lot, and I'm always ranting, and yelling. But I want to talk a moment just to say how much i love my country! I know we aren't in the best state right now, and I'm not going to go on and talk about orphans in Africa or anything. I'm not to yell at ppl and tell them that they have no right to complain, and that things could be worse. Mostly, because its human nature to complain, and its alright to do so every once in a while. But sometimes we get so caught up in our materialistic desires that we forget to notice what we do have. And i know that there are people out there right now who are worried whether or not they will eat tonight, or if they will be able to pay for their son's college bill. I know my cousin is getting kicked out of college because the back disapproved his father's loan. (STUPID BANK! Its kinda my uncle's fault though, bad choices are effecting his children.) But at least he had the right to go to college, and the right to have a job to pay for college, and the right to chose his major, and the right to change his mind.
And what a country we live in where woman and men are complete equals! A lot of kids in my generation take that for granted. But I know that I'm a fourteen year old girl who has the right to play sports, and wear whatever she wants, and a right to go to school and tell off whatever pig-headed boy i want! Gotta give thx for that last one! Guys just don't get it, do they ladies? And I'm thankful freedom of speech, and I'm grateful for the right to vote, and the ability to protest what I don't like.
I know it can be so much easier to give thanks for what you have when you have a whole hell of a lot of it. But whether or not you are a kid like me, or a hard-working citizen struggling to pay the bills, or a political-junkie pissed off at the president (amen), or a homeless, or a family member of a veteran out at war ( you guys gave up a lot, im praying for them), its still America. And through good and bad, sometimes we don't realize what we have.
DAMN I LOVE AMERICA!!!
