“The Kitsune or Japanese fox spirit”

The word Kitsune is the Japanese word for fox but I guess you already figured the out. In the whole small island country of Japan there are only two species of foxes there the average Red Fox and the Hondo Kitsune. And both of these fox families relate to the mythology found in Japan.
These foxy foxes were said to have great intelligence to fool the lowly humans, extremely long life, (not eternal life they can die but long life non-the less), and some groovy mystical powers to boot. They are even said to be able to change into beautiful young women or old men to play jokes, but they never ever or at least almost never appear as an elderly woman.
The great mystical powers the Kitsune was believed to have are shapeshifting into hot girls and what not, the really cool ability to generate and breath fire (and put fire balls on the end of its tail(s)and that fire is called Kitsune-bi or simply foxfire sounds cool huh?) and they can do something I would love to know how to do dream diving and illusions that are so real you wouldn’t be able to distinguish them from reality. However these wonderful creatures were given a few more abilities throughout some stories like able to jump through time or to drive people mad just to name a few. But the strangest thing I have heard while writing this paper is this occasionally Kitsune are ascribed a trait from vampires, succubus, or incubus (demon) these Kitsune feed on the life or spirit of humans, generally through sexual contact. And that’s it word for word just felt like putting it in there.
The main belief of the Kitsune usually relate to the Japanese deity of rice known as Inari. And the people believed that kitsune were the messengers of Inari, but the word Inari is now sometimes depicted as the word fox.
In Japanese folklore kitsune are tricksters and would play tricks on everyone from Buddhist monks to poor farmers they would show prejudice to anyone. However most of the stories about this beautiful creature are love stories were a young man falls in love with a beautiful young woman (but is really a kitsune just making sure that you are paying attention to what I am saying) and the two get married and there are many different endings, but here is a few; in some nothing happens the two live a long happy life together and in some the man finds out about his beautiful wife and leaves and is forever shunned in his little village.

And this is one pic of the kitsune
