Its a "book" version of a comic I'm doing.
Just to pass time in boring classes~
So, here's the prologue.
Hope it makes sense!
It was quiet, and it was raining. The birth of a baby girl
inside the home of Egypt's Pharaoh was meant to be a magical
time. Yet, the air was stained with the smell of tears and the
halls were filled with servants saddened with the news they had
received. The young baby was alive, yes, but asleep. As if she
were dead. Her breathing was soft and faint, the fragile life
of a new child was slipping through the parents fingers.
They grieved that their first child was going to die, after
so many attempts at conceiving. The priest of the royal family
told th Pharaoh and his Queen, that their child might not
survive the night. As the hours passed on, the Mother wished
to She who mothers all; a wish so pure and innocent, sincire
and worthy. Sacraficing her own life to save one who has'nt
lived theirs.
The Mother, Shashai, never told anyone of her wish, slowly
passing away in her sleep. The people of Egypt thought she
died from birthing her daughter, like so many previous Queens
have endured. Now that's how she's remembered. Since Shashai
didn't make a big impression or impact on the Nation of Upper
Egypt, only being the wife of the current Pharaoh. Soon, Shashai
would be forgotten by most and would be just another Queen that
has come and gone.
The Father, Atem, knew something magical happened, but did
not know of it completely. All Atem knew was that his daughter
was going to live. Due to these events, the child was named]
Nabeu, a name he created. Atem believed that the name had no
meaning, it was something his daughter would create in the
years go come.
Over the years, Atem sensed something great from his child.
A destiny so freat, that it will change History. in fear for
Nabeu's life, Atem hid his daughter from the world; no one
knew that she was alive. Those who knew otherwise, were not
allowed to leave the palace unless told different. Sometimes
Atem doubted himself about his desision. Was it the right
thing to do? Nabeu's care-takers said that Nabeu acted as if
she were not a royal, just a normal little girl. Atem went
on with sheltering his daughter, taking the judgement of his
people. Yet bad thoughts still lingered in his head.
