What would you say to yourself? Write an imaginary scene between you at your current age and you at a younger age. If you don't want to use dialogue, you don't have to.

Only a little taller, less tan, bronze hair dyed black and one eye noticeably darker than the other. Both eyes coal in comparison to once-tan ones. Fumi wasn't so different from Miko. "Take your classes seriously." Fumi told Miko almost crossly, and Miko rolled her eyes, saying nothing. She crossed her arms over her chest, covering up the logo of her baggy shirt. Fumi dressed differently than Miko. Never stylishly, neither were ever like that. Miko wore baggy shirts and pushed her hair back into a ponytail, while Fumi wore it completely up, jeans all the same, and the converse still remained. Fumi looked sarcastic, angry, Miko looked indifferent, passive. Fumi dressed in black, and wore converse daily. She didn't talk a lot, she lived far away, or what felt like far away, from her friends-- both in mind and in reality. Miko lived close to her friends but took them for granted. "Don't say yes, it'll be hell for you later." Miko ignores that to. It's hell, later. Fumi regrets listening to Fumi all those years ago, leaning into the back of the chair and thinking of the future.
