The Email
The Email
Five years later…
Belen turned the computer on. She touched the round goggles she was wearing. She was reminded of her uncle, Davis Motomiya. She smiled. That man was crazy. He was always saying wild stories about creatures called ‘Digimon’. Belen giggled. She knew so much about a make believe world. She signed in to her email account. She saw she had a new email. She looked at who it was from. It said ‘Digimon Gate’. She looked at the subject. It said ‘Congratulations! You have been chosen as a Digidestined!’ What was that? Belen pressed delete. Spam was the most annoying invention ever. She looked at the rest of her email. Only something was wrong. She looked at the email. She was shocked.
She looked at who it was from. It said ‘Digimon Gate’. She looked at the subject. It said ‘Congratulations! You have been chosen as a Digidestined!’ Hadn’t she just deleted that email? She had nothing else to do but delete it again. “Thomas, its diner time, get over here!” Belen heard a woman say. “Ok mom, I have to go to my room first.” the kid said. Belen ducked under the bed. She heard a lot of footsteps. The door opened. After a while, the door closed again. Belen crawled out from under the bed. The computer was still the same, good. ‘I have to start sneaking into other people’s house instead of his. It’s so filthy under that bed.’ Belen thought.
Belen went back to the computer. The same email had returned. ‘My life is so boring and pointless. I guess I have no other choice.’ Belen thought. She opened the email. A page popped up. It said ‘Do you want to start?’ Belen pressed yes. A whole bunch of weird noises were heard.
“Belen, your destiny. It’s time to decide you’re future, Belen” the computer said. “Huh? Hey, wait a minute! What do you mean my destiny?” she said out loud. Before she could get an answer, a device came out of the computer screen. She looked at it. She put it in a key ring and put the key necklace on. ‘Cool, free stuff.’ she thought. The computer said ‘Would you like to leave the site or point your digivice and press the button ‘Enter the Digital World’.’ “Well, I would love to know what they mean by destiny. I guess this orange and black thing is called a digivice.” Belen said, talking to herself. She pointed her digivice and pressed the button.
A binding orange light filled her room and she was sucked into the computer. She looked around. She was flying through a white world of 1s and 2s. She saw four boys and one girl. They all had digivices like hers, only different colors. They all had some kind of creatures next to them. She looked next to herself. There was a creature next to her too. “Hi, I’m Coronamon. I’m a Digimon, and I’ve been waiting for you, Belen.” the Digimon said. “You know my name? I’m a tamer now, like my uncle, Davis.” Belen asked. The kids landed…on top of each other.
