Chapter 4

Out of the darkness that proceeded came a calming and musical toned voice, “Come time to move on.”
“Why? I was having fun,” a single gleaming smile stretched out through the darkness almost blinding me.
The voice again seeming more musical, “It was time to go. Where do you want to go now? What do you want to do?” thinking it odd he was should be asking me, seeing as I’d never been here before.
“Think hard now, I know you know where to go,” what was he talking about I thought to myself, I knew no such thing.
Suddenly out of the darkness. There giving way to a quiet soft stream, in fact everything seemed to be alive and breathing as if it was aware what was going on except for me. I began to admire the natural beauty of innocence in this untapped shrine.

This shrine contained only a stream with outlines of mountains in the background. The sky was clear containing thousands of stars glowing brightly lighting everything as if the sun was shining. The trees and grass was so lush it felt inviting. The wild beat that stirred up in the deepest part if my soul had become peaceful once more.
I turned and looked at the demon. He was smiling encouragingly to explore. He began to hum his sad melody once again. Looking around again, I walked in the direction of where I heard the stream. The water was even more beautiful than the sky as you gazed into the depths of the stream.
Within the water you could see the sky containing the vast stars and planets. I sat stroking the cool clear reflective water, as a hand appeared on my shoulder. I didn’t ever hear him walk or fly up to where I was.
“Do you feel the peace? Do you feel the hole in you finally filled?” he whispered. Obviously every time the demon tends to ask questions it only confused me. He smiles at the insanity he decided to plant inside my mind.
“You wanted to be here, you wanted to be in this place. Your soul told me so. You know, you just didn’t realize you wanted this.” Once more in this musical voice of his he smiled and said, “You know I’m right!”
I began to wonder if he what he was saying is true. That maybe subconsciously I was craving something. “You’re wrong about me. I didn’t want this. I want to go home. I’m tired of these games.” I was losing my patience and became angrier as I spoke.
Without another word we were watching a sunset. We were sitting on a giant wall. The wall contained snowy white stones that appeared to be new. It felt more and more magical than anything I had ever known. If felt like it was all a dream. The sky was painting with various shades of golden yellows, deep red and oranges, hints of pink, along with blues and purples. Present was a very faint outline of a rainbow in there. I noted the shades of a dark blues, blacks, and purples closer to the ground. It seemed to show a hidden feeling inside of me. That I was all alone and no one ever truly cared about me.
I was always alone before and after school. Always waiting for someone to come and get me. People always leave, became more and more apparent because no one stuck around enough. I had hardly ever seen my parents since they went or were constantly on vacations. It was like I was always alone, always on my own. No one seemed to notice or even cared.

“You’re wrong, you’re just really wrong.” He didn’t say anything, but laughed sweetly and loudly that the earth seemed to shake. Without another word he grabbed my hand and we flew down from the wall, landing in feather like grass.
As I turned to look at him, he said “Lilith, you have no idea how long I’ve been searching for you. You are my life.” I felt like I was crying, but instead a light rain had begun to fall. “Why is it raining,” I asked.
“It rains because you are crying…” he whispered into my ear. Oh silly me I thought sarcastically. I felt so sad and lonely u just kept gazing into his wonderful magnetic eyes. It was then that I realized why I was here. I was searching too, looking for him as well. It was also so I could notice that I wasn’t alone. That he was always going to be here for me.
And if I wanted, I could have him conquer the world for me as I saw fit. Not just this magical world. “Finally,” he said, “took you long enough to notice, that you’ll never be alone.
I asked, “What do you mean?”
He explained kindly, “No one is ever truly alone. Someone always loves them. They have people along the way that help them! To never be alone, like myself. I’m the type of demon who craves for adventures and helps you. I yearn wanting you to have as many people in your life to help ease the pain. Just remember one thing. I will always be with you, no matter what you want me to be or how long you still want me.” With a quick flash he had vanished.
Shocked I blinked my eyes. I was suddenly back at school in the court yard. I was unsure about how I had gotten here. The bell was ringing for us to go back to class. I slowly got up from the bench. Walking across the courtyard towards the school doors, I stopped for some reason. I turned to notice a boy, the boy from the cafeteria sitting by himself on the other side or the school yard.
I walked over to him and said hello. He politely smiled answers back with a familiar musical voice. I introduced myself and asked what his name was. He answered, “I am a time demon, the demon of everything that is. I am the one person, people seek out for the truth, but you can call me Tristan Winchester,” and a twinkle flashed in his big vibrant green eyes. We both giggled and walked back into the school.
