something]Introduction
The Bards’ Guild was established for the examination and practice of the Bardly art. Of course, Adventuring is a large part of Barding, and so Roleplaying definitely has a home here. But, equally so do the Spinning of Tales, the Culture of Music, and the Love of Literacy.
Bards are, historically, preservers of wisdom, spreaders of lore, and leaders of celebration. The skills we put to these tasks; Roleplaying, Writing, Researching, as well as Musical or Artistic Prowess; are the treasures we horde here. This Guild represents my attempt to create a place where they may be displayed, critiqued, and generally enjoyed by a close-knit group of like-minded Bards.
~Guild Founder,
Sehan Bowman

Mission Statement:
The Bards' Guild was established as a safe, literate haven for the examination and practice of Bardly arts.
These arts include but are not limited to Adventuring (roleplaying), Spreading of Lore (story-writing/poetry), Musical and Literacy Culture (discussions on such topics).
A Tour of the Guild.
Our Guild is publicly viewable, so you may wish to take a look around. You may not see much, as our Guild has suffered a tragic parting of members since its founding. What I am hoping you will see, however, is opportunity.
Our Guild’s main forum is simply titled, “The Bards’ Guild.” It is the place for all sorts of news and announcements threads. It is here you will find the Tour Guide, which I strongly advise you to look through. Within the guide is a list of descriptions for each forum in more detail. Below is just a quick guide of what our Sub Forums are for.
Sub Forums:
“The Adventuring Hall”
SPACEThis is where roleplaying occurs.
“The Circular File”
SPACEThis is where old threads go to die.
“The Lucky Coin”

“The Performance Hall”
SPACEThis is where musical or artistic skills may be displayed and discussed.
“The Story Circle”
SPACEThis is where the Guild’s members may spin their tales and discuss them.
“The Meeting Hall”
SPACEThis is where important matters pertaining to the Guild are discussed.
"The Common Room"

"The Captain's Office"
SPACEThis is where the Crewmembers meet to discuss Guild business.
Threads of Interest:
“The Allegro Cantina”
Located in the “Adventuring Hall,” and modeled after the original Guild (which was located in the “Guilds” forum, before the release of the GGN), the cantina is a free-form tavern RP. It is set on the grounds of the Guild’s chapterhouse, the Allegro Cantina, which is at once a tavern, inn, concert hall, and barding community. It remains the most popular meeting place for members.
"New Members Posting Area"
Located within the "Common Room", this is the first place new members can learn about their fellow Guildmates and introduce themselves.
"Lucky Coin - An RP"
Located within the "Lucky Coin", learn how strange and interesting casino life can be within this thread. Talking Shadows, whistling janitors, and blushing vampires are just the tip of what goes on within.
Meet the Crew!
The small crew which runs the Bards’ Guild includes:
Sehan Bowman, Guild Captain
Aside from running the Guild, this half-elf-turned-felis Bard also tends the bar at the Allegro Cantina.
MieKarra Evangel, Guild Financier
Mie is the co-founder of the Guild. She runs the “Lucky Coin,” the Guild’s casino.
Sailor_Celestial, crew member
Celest is another founding member, but much more importantly, is the Captain’s (IRL) wife and a pillar of support for everyone who knows her. She does much of her work “behind the scenes,” as it were.
Lip411, crew member
A reincarnation of Human_Bahamut. Baha is one of our Guild’s founding members. He is also the Cantina’s Breakfast Chef.
Shanra the Dragon Bard

If you ever have any questions or concerns having to do with the Guild, you may PM any one of us for assistance. (Note: you may wish to check a members status before messaging them, to insure a timely response.)
Guild Status as of 2/26/09:
We are Recruiting!
The Guild is currently undergoing heavy reconstruction. Regardless, we are always open for business and enrollment is likewise, wide open.
Although our Guild has over 30 members, only five or six can be considered active, with a few sketchy participators. Most of them have given a good reason for their absence, and so are granted indefinite grace. Others appear to be just token members. This makes us a very small Guild, and slow to respond at times. However, this is something we hope to recover from through recruiting.
If you are interested in joining our Guild, please know that it is active members we are seeking. All this means is that we expect that you can make a post at least once a month. (Or, give a good reason for longer pauses, and express a strong desire to remain a member.) Token members are eventually removed from the Guild. (So please, don’t consider this Guild if your only goal is to be in as many guilds a possible.)
Rules for Joining the Guild:
As it is, unfortunately, necessary for us to test your conviction in joining, please follow these easy steps. Give it some gusto, this is your first impression, after all.
1) PM an active crew member (including the Captain, but remember to check the member’s status) and/or use the “Request to Join” button on the Guild’s homepage.
2) You will recieve a PM similar to this form letter:
