February 4, 2009:
The "you may now walk safely across the street" image lit up and a beeping sound was heard. I started walking across the street, when half way across an older lady maybe in her 40's or 50's decides that she is in a hurry. She notices me out of her glaring eyes intent on being "somewhere on time" and is unable to wait the ten to twenty seconds for me to complete my intensely long journey across the street. Instead, she makes her left turn not yielding to a pedestrian (me) and then veers to barely avoid hitting me with her car and almost runs into oncoming traffic (she veers into the lane where there is on coming traffic). As she veers out of the way, she stares at me and continues on, only to find herself at a red light one block away from where she previously was.
