Tiger's life in recent times.
I really think it was fated that I get Mrs. Layton and Mr. Hudgins this year as my teachers. They have made me so appreciative of what I have in my life, right at a time in my life when I was beginning to not appreciate all the little things, and be a slothful good-for-nothing teenager blaugh
I guess that's where I should start. The man who wrote Gulliver's Travels, Johnathan Swift, also wrote a sarcastic essay, "A Modest Proposal." It was about the poverty in Ireland in the 1700's, and what should be done. His idea (now remember, this is sarcastic, and he does not mean it) was to eat babies xP In his actual essay, there were real suggestions and... well, anyway, we had to write our own ^_^ I chose to do mine on the lack of teachers, and I said that in order to attract more teachers, we should get rid of all the stupid people and send them into the work world (Well, that's what I said in a nut-shell... there was more ninja ) And that's where the line about becomming a teenager came in ^o^
Ms. Layton also has us sending little Christmas boxes to the soldiers in the 505th who are stationed in Iraq. We also wrote cards to the soldiers. I hope to start a correspondance! -^_^- She said Senior year is such a selfish time, and that we need to take some of the focus off of ourselves. And she's right. I cannot begin to voice my appreciation to the soldiers in Iraq. They risk their lives everyday so that we can remain safe here heart
Let's see... I have off Friday (tomorrow) mrgreen Yay! I have no homework in Govt, or Stats, but English... neutral I have to do my final copy of the essay, and read part 2 of Gulliver's Travels... which I don't really like xp Ew.
Emmy, Karen, and I took 2 of our freshmen out to eat yeaterday ^_^ We went to Applebees, and it was a lot of fun 3nodding My freshman (Bobalina) could not come, because she actually has a life xp But the other two, Bob and Bobby came ^_^ Bob, formerly the #1 freshman was kinda annoying. he's also loaded. And has a crush on Emmy xd Emmy, I should mention, currently has a boyfriend wink As for Bobby? Well, Bobby has a crush on Jenni (Former-Freshman), who told me last year that she's gay.... Emily told Bobby that she's bi..... but she might just be saying that o.O??? Tiger was confused... but that's often ^_^
*whimpers* Tiger's also beginning to freak out... sad Next Tuesday is the writting prompt for the Teaching Fellows Scholarship, and Wednesday are the interviews >.< I'm scared gonk I want this dang scholarship sad
In other academic news ((Heeheehee, don't I get over things quickly wink )), got my SAT scores, got a 1980 cool Emmy got a 2010, and some other way too smart dude got a 2170 xp Mine is about equal to a 1340, I think in the old form ^^; Tiger feels smart.
I'm also almost totally over my cold too as well! mrgreen Tomorrow, I plan to go to Target and spend some money on some CDs twisted And go out to eat at Chilis blaugh And go to see The Corpse Bride heart
