Covered by the make-up of an average teenage girl,
Living with an average family in this average world,
But no one will ever see behind the make-up that she wears,
That there might be somebody who is screaming inside there.
Covered by the lipstick of a normal, harmless teen,
No one believes what she says or where those lips have been,
Covered by the mascara of a normal, harmless teen,
No one will ever believe what those young eyes have seen.
She is covered by the make-up of her high-school friends,
No originality, she’s just following the trends,
They can’t read between the lines of blush on her cheeks,
And they will never know what may have happened that week.
Covered by the make-up of an average teenage girl,
Just another unheard victim of this twisted, mixed up world.
