Pride.
Now, there is some reasoning behind this, I think.
If you start thinking to highly of yourself, you end up going from on top of the mountain, into your own grave.
Then hell.
Or so Christianity would have us believe.
But, if they mean you can't be proud of your kid for winning a spelling bee or of yourself for getting a decent and well-paying job after you've spent years trying to do so,
that's bullsh*t.
Other than that, I can somewhat agree.
