Gaiden alternate timeline. [need to name the timeline, grr] Post-Gaiden. Kakashi doesn't have the Sharingan yet. Obito is alive. Rin is alive. The Fourth Hokage is still Hokage. It's nine months before the fox attack, five years before the Uchiha tragedy, and 1.5 years after Gaiden (manga book #27). Kakashi's still a jounin, Obito's a chuunin. They're just chilling out in Obito's home in the clan compound. Clashes with background info of Rin picture. Ah well.

Can't Deny It
It started not long after each saved the other's life.
"Kakashi."
"What?"
However unlikely before that mission, somehow, the two had formed a bond.
"Kashi..."
Snort. "What?"
"You're such a b***h sometimes, you know that?" Two Sharingan eyes roll. "You do, don't you?"
"Yeah, I know."
"Gimme back my goggles and I'll give you back your book, then." Jumps off the couch and runs. Fast.
"Obito, you b*****d, give it back!" Gives chase. Is faster. Tackles him. Hands run through clothes, over Obito's body. Nothing. He doesn't even have the book. "Liar." Kakashi retreats to stand by the couch. Not ready to sit and go back to lounging.
"But you chased me, anyway." The Sharingan revert, replaced by two dark pools that dance as he speaks.
For Kakashi, it's more than a bond of friendship.
"You're the b***h, Uchiha." There's only one reason Kakashi ever calls him Uchiha. It's happening more regularly of late. "I'll trade you for your goggles, then, if you want them so badly. Come here."
"No way." His heart's not in it. "I'm not like you and sensei. I like Rin, remember? Rin's a girl. I like girls."
A pair of coal gray eyes peer at Obito. Like they know it's a lie. "Really?" Their owner takes a step closer. "Then why aren't you running away."
They'd played this game so many times, but he's so tired of running from it. Tired of denying the thrill Kakashi's hands leave in their wake. The kisses the silver-haired boy forces on him. A technicality, at most. Obito never fully fought Kakashi's lips coming closer.
Kakashi had always thought, suspected, hoped there was a reason Obito held back.
Obito raised a dark eyebrow, taking a few steps. "You'd just catch me again, right?"
"...true..." He can feel Obito's breath on his cheek above his mask. It's warm and smells sweet, like candy. "Peppermint grass?" A smirk. Obito planned for it. Wanted it to happen when he'd run so many times before?
A blush answers Kakashi's question, but there's a nod to accompany it, just in case.
Eager lips replace his mask, smashing him back into the couch. Hungry. Needy. Kakashi wonders at the strange turn of events, but he's quickly being kissed senseless, so the thoughts eventually fade, giving way to lust. One last thought wriggles its way between the teenagers.
"Obito..." Still being kissed.
"Hn..." Doesn't want to stop.
Kakashi steps back, forcibly breaking their connection. "Never deny this--us--again. Never run away..."
"I'll never run from you again, Kashi." The Uchiha grins and nods, trailing a hand through silver hair.
