My life
Live, love, laugh
Breaking News
This morning, at roughly 11:55, a call came in for my co-worker. I handed the call over, then sat back down to continue working. About 30 seconds later, my coworker came into the main room, followed by the two women who work in the back room. She immediately changed the channel on the big-screen Olevia TV we have in the office from the Weather Channel to WFTV Channel 9 news. There, displayed in large white letters at the bottom of the screen, were the words "SO to Equusearch: 'We've got her'." Just like Saddam Hussein a few years back, no one needed to ask who.

My friends, they have found the body of Caylee Anthony. Or they believe they have.

Just out of mild curiosity, does this remind anyone else of the Trenton Duckett case? Think about it for a moment: a young child mysteriously disappears, getting ENORMOUS amounts of media coverage, the community rallies and pickets around the family, the mother is emotionless, and eventually charged. Of course, there are differences. For instance, Trenton knew his father. And Casey hasn't committed suicide. Yet, anyway.

Personally, I don't think it's her. The Sheriff's department had THOUSANDS of people combing through those woods, looking for anything that might be remotely related to Caylee. Then one day, a landscaper takes a pit stop in the woods, finds a garbage bag, and now they've found Caylee? I don't mean to be cynical here, but I find that highly doubtful. The only way I can see that happening is if someone dumped the body after the search in the woods had ended. Again, highly unlikely.

The mother, I believe, is guilty. She seems expressionless whenever her daughter is mentioned, and she's been lying to the police from the start. I mean, come on, she waited a MONTH after Caylee went missing before she said anything. Does that not scream guilty?

Don't even get me STARTED on the grandmother. She strikes me as a publicity whore.

The grandfather seems like the one who wants to find Caylee the most. He seems, to me, like he just wants life to go back to normal, complete with his granddaughter.

DISCLAIMER: I do not follow this case religiously, and my views are just that: MY VIEWS. They do not reflect the opinions of anyone but myself. Everything I learned about law, I learned from episodes of Law & Order. So don't jump down my throat telling me I don't know what I'm talking about, because I will jump right down yours.
