Today was a very eventful day for me.... Okay, so, my bf and my two best friends and I were headed to the mall after school to see Twilight and barely five minutes after we left the parking lot, we get rear-ended. It scared the sh*t outta me, for one thing. The first thing I did was look out the rear window of the car to see who hit us, and I saw that it was a student. She looked absolutely horrified. It wasn't just the two cars that were involved. When she hit us, we hit a mini van in front of us and then the mini van hit a Volvo that was in front of it. Four cars involved. Out of all four cars that were involved, our car got the most damage (which was still very minor, luckily). The cop who showed up told us that if my bf hadn't had his foot on the brake at the time we got rear-ended, the rear of the car would have lifted up off the ground, causing the muffler to get the impact, and the front end of the car would have gone under the rear of the mini van in front of us. We later found out that the only reason the girl rear-ended us is because she was driving a stick shift and it switched into neutral, so the car kept going the speed it was going (approx. 20mph, I think).

I was pretty shaken up for a while after the accident for two reasons: 1) The force of the impact giving me a huge adrenaline rush, and 2) the fact that I was extremely worried and scared that my bf and/or friends were hurt and weren't saying anything. I couldn't help but cry. After a while, though, I calmed down and we headed to the movies as we'd planned. The car wasn't damaged enough to not still function properly. The only damage it sustained was a dented rear bumper, the front license plate falling off, and a small crack and a few scratches on the front bumper. We saw Twilight, it was great; we wandered around the mall for an hour or so; we went home. Other than the accident, it was a pretty good day. biggrin
