So, this is my first journal. Nothing much to write about really. So I suppose I'll do the same thing I do in my journal on DeviantArt. A little news followed with some game reviews. If you wanna check out my art, go to:

I'm hoping perhaps the stuff I have will be good enough to place in the Art Arena. Or perhaps some even becoming collectibles or evolving items! That'd be cool!

PS before Review: I'd love to get another Sword of Aegis and perhaps a hunting bow to complete my vision of her. It took me one HELL of a time to get all this stuff together. If you can, please support me.

This Chronicle's Review:
Onimusha - Dawn of Dreams: The fourth game in the Onimusha series by Capcom, picking up where Onimusha 3 - Demon Siege left off. Players take the role of Soki, a samurai rebelling Toyotomi Hideyoshi with MERCILESS abandon with his broadswords. Along the way he meets a group of allies to help him fight the tyrant warlord. Yagyu Jubei (a girl inheriting the Jubei name) with katanas, Tenkai with staves, Ohatsu with rifles and Roberto with his own fists. Together, they're a force to be reckoned with, and will teach the Genma a lesson they'll never forget. Virtues of the game include vast locations which you can return to after visiting, hideouts which give you the chance to upgrade weapons and skills as well as restock on items, a diverse storyline which ranges from serious to comical at a moments notice, and of course, the Dark Realm, where you can beat the crap out of Genma over and over until you hit bottom. Bad points.. well, personally, I find enemies, especially bosses, can have a BIG advantage over you which makes you face near impossible odds. One of which is enemies LOVE to attack you almost simultaneously. This is especially troublesome in terms of archers. A group of 4 or so archers, backed up by one or two melee characters is FAR worse than 4 or 5 highly bulked enemies. And bird gemna, except when it comes to Ohatsu, are near IMPOSSIBLE to hit. Also, the item limit is much to restricting, especially in terms of healing items, which you NEED for 99.9% of the game. This is especially troublesome if you happen to get two bosses in one level. Once I fought one to be my ally, only to use up all my healing items and then had to face a HUGE boss with said ally practically naked. But afterwords it slowly becomes easier to keep items. It's a great game, and I'm enjoying it to the point where I've nearly finished it. I just have some training to do before heading off to the final battle.

Okami: Another game by Capcom, and one of my personal favourites. Using cell shading to represent a Japanese Ink painting, players take the role of Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess, in the form of a white wolf with crimson markings. As Okami Amaterasu, you venture with your little friend Issun to battle the forces of evil tainting the world while regaining all your former powers, the lost 13 Celestial Brushstrokes which you can use to manipulate the world around you with the aid of reflectors, rosaries and glaives. A serious storyline with a highly comical appeal, Okami is by far one of the greatest games ever made by Capcom, with a very high replayability factor. Upsides, unique Celestial Brush system which you can use outside of battle as well as in to show enemies who's boss and restore the world's beauty to help make you stronger, 3 vast and wonderful lands to explore and enjoy, epic battles where you can show those monsters you're NOT a god to be messed with, and a great story chuck full of expression, intensity and comedy. Downsides, will, SOMETIMES the brushtrokes don't do what you want them to, and sometimes you will face situations where you use up all your healing items, or die. But it's seriously one of the best games I've ever come across. Oh yes! And Amaterasu becomes a normal wolf when she runs out of ink! A nice touch, I think.
