HOPE ODST TEST
Illisium, New Harmony R-Day +2 : 1900 Hours As the sun began to fall over the rubble that had once been downtown Illisium, a small rain fell over the square; yet Cars still burned in the streets, and blood stained the sidewalk and asphalt. One overturned bus lay on it's side jutting out from a small record shop on the side of the street. Debris littered the actual street, and on either end of the square buildings that once stood tall had crumbled and created a large wall of concrete, metal, and bodies. The Subway station sat in the center of the square, but a downed Pelican had blocked that exit, so now the only way out of the warzone was the be evacuated via Pelican.
The buildings around the square still stood tall though, casting dark shadows over the scene. The bodies of ODST soldiers were cast around the Pelican wreckage in the center of the square, something mangled from the impact, some wholey intact, all of their weapons scattered randomly around the battlefield. Thirteen soldiers had died because of a rebel missile; eleven ODSTs and two Pilots now were laid to rest. One ODST still remained alive however, crouched down inside the aft of the Pelican, whos nose was buried in the entrance to the subway, lifting the aft in the air. The soldier had just awoken, being lucky enough to still have their MA7K-T3 PA Assault Rifle, three fragmentation grenades, their M6G PDS Pistol, and combat knife.
As the distress beacon was activated by the semi-conscious ODST, several rebel soldiers began to file into the battlefield slowly to scavenge for ammo and kill any remaining UNSC soldiers still alive. A small flash transmission came over the COM channel to the ODST, announcing that evac would arrive in five minutes. Outside on one of the large screens that made up the archway to an expensive hotel the Superintendent of the city flashed his warning to >>KEEP IT CLEAN<<, something the Rebels were aiming to do; purge the city of the UNSC. It seamed as if the ODST had been dropped straight into the best hell had to offer.
[ Role play the above scenario; ODSTs don't need luck. ]
