Hi there to everyone who still bothers to check my journal entries. I promise this might be my best next entries ever! Why? because I'll be talking about my experience at Youmacon and show you a few pictures of what I saw at my days in it!! First of all I want to say that if you usually go to Cons this is one you CANNOT miss! You haven't enjoy a con unless you've been to Youmacon. Their location this year, the Hyatt!! I was surprised because that's an 15 minute trip from my house!! I'm sorry I'm only saying how good so far it is and not what state it was held in. Youmacon is a Michigan Anime con so if you're from Michigan you have NO reason to miss it!! There are so many things I enjoyed about Youmacon one of them is that I got to meet a few of my online friends for the first time!! I was looking forward to that I couldn't even breathe when I finally saw Chibi, CFS, Rorek and Joe by the elevators!! Their cosplays were nice and funny, Chibi was a gothic Lolita, CFS was some random guy from The World Ends With You (sorry I forgot your character sweatdrop ) Rorek was an Akatsuki (a very wild animal Akatsuki xd ) and Joe was the cute and adorable NESS! Me? I was Chi from Chobits XD my sister was Haruhi Suzumiya (~x~ Kairi ~x~) and my best friend Emma was another Gothic Lolita sort of bunny. We had lots of fun at Youmacon, the first day it was only my friend Emma and I since my sister couldn't assist and Chibi, CFS and Joe weren't allowed until Sat. as for Rorek I did NOT see that party animal anywhere in the con and I was giving free hugs in every single panel not to mention candy!! XD
Another thing I really enjoyed about Youmacon was the people. Everybody was so welcoming and nice. I can't believe all of you nice people were hiding HER IN THE CON!! XD I love you all!! I spot a few awesome cosplays and some not so much and even creepy XD
At the dealers store I had such an adventure and I bought so many things. My friend and I decided to take our picture professionally and have it as a memory of Youmacon!
Now to stop me from talking here are the pictures from Youmacon 08 first day!
First picture of the night Miku Hitsune and she was very spunky XD
I am proud to say that I am back to the Pokemon fever and when I saw this pair I just had to ask for their pics!! I bring you Team Rocket!!
Sadly many HOURS later I found Ash wondering around XD with his Pikachu in hands so here is Ash
And as if it wasn't enough I kept finding more Pokemon people!! who knew??! So I might get shot but here it goes: "So I heard you like Mudkips"
The next picture is something I was not expecting, I think this cosplayer was prettier than me *sob* j/k!! I give you my twin Chi
Let me tell you that Chi wasn't the only one relaxing!! I spot a few of the Bleach and Naruto members lazying around, how shameful Bleach/ Naruto
And as I continue my journey in Youmacon I spot this cute trio I just had to snap a shot of them because who doesn't loves Akamaru??!! I love him! such a cute Naruto trio.
In my journey i didn't expect to fine my counterpart so soon! and there she was... Freya
And from there Freya join my group XD and we walked around the floors of the Hyatt and we found a cosplay many of you might remember from years ago Sakura from the movie The Sealed Card.
Now tell me, who's too fast? Who's too cool? Who's too blue to be in your room? it's Sonic!
Now here's a funny thing. I've always been a fan of .Hack and when I found my favorite character being cosplayed I was happy but when I saw the picture I was spooked XD why did you do this Tsukasa??!!
Next picture is a cosplay I really REALLY thought no one would remember anymore and it was an adult!! Lady I love you for bringing the Digimon love back! Here's Gatomon!
Don't worry we're nearly the end XD and as you all know no Youmacon can be complete without your own Naruto and Sasuke so I give you a sweet couple who made this possible NaruSasu
Hey hey! here's your everyday box of sweets! yes I am in this pic, WOOT finally again XD and next to me is awesome Sailor Moon, the first I saw in the night!! XD Sailor Moon meets Chi
I am not here to give awards but if I was to, I say this guy won tons! His cosplay amazed me! He got a perfectly cosplay of Dark Link I loved it!! and I'm not a big fan of DL XD
And of course Dark Link can't be complete without its fandom couple? Who is it this time? Well you'll be surprised so I won't give a hint this time, you'll have to click to find out XD
And so that brings our conclusion to Youmacon the first day. I want to thank all the people who made this possible and for creating such an awesome atmosphere for the gathering. Youmacon staff you ROCK!
