I continued with my story. "Anyway, after a while, Shayra and I became really, really good friends-"
"There was the occasional knocking of boots." Shayra added casually.
"Yeah, they didn't need to know that! Classes were a real blast, especially the sparring. One time, though, a Lycan guy accidentally bit me, so now I'm an Afflicted Werefox; hence my nickname of Fluffy. I mastered and passed the three month basic course in a little over a month, so I was put in the most complex classes they had, and after a two-year master's course, I graduated at the top of my class. I even received the Golden Shuriken Award for Excellence in the Ninja Arts. Then, when all was said and done, I moved to a dimension called Gaia, and I've lived there for about two-and-a-half years."
"Yo, wait. how can you have done that stuff for the better part of five years when I've only been gone for three?" Doriyan asked.
"Chromozone is on a hyperbolic plane. Basically, time inside it moves a lot faster than other dimensions, and a year in Chromozone is about a week normally." Shayra told him.

"That's pretty much been my life up until now." I said conclusively. Then, Shayra picked up a can at her feet and said, "Hey, I'm eating this can of stew." She drew a knife from her boot and popped open the can. After taking a drink, she said, "Oh yeah, this is way better than those craptacular energy bars I've eaten for the past few days."
I'm sort of surprised at how little she's changed; she's just as brazen as she was back at school.
