INTERMISSION
She’d already know that he liked someone else. She’d already been informed that he didn’t want to go out with her. The fact that he was just a rare, sappy, hopeless romantic who had just about everything in common with her was only a plus to their friendship. … So why did she feel this way? The recent letdowns from people close to her should be keeping her from feeling this deep. But yet this small sliver of hope in her heart wouldn’t go away. She knew this was going to end badly. While she got her hopes up –thanks to some friends- he was probably wondering when the other one wawws going to give him a chance. Never would he mull over how it felt to have her in his arms, or vice versa; realize that he was the reason her heart beat quickened beneath the fireworks. The rush she felt as he kissed each of her knuckles in front of their friends… The message, clearly screaming, in her eyes should have told him when the finale began. But no. Instead of realizing anything, he just smiled into her hair and looked back up to the colorful explosions in the sky. He completely missed the longing in her eyes. The regret of not leaning forward… She’ll wait for him, though she may never have a chance. Smiling with his oblivious grin.
And he thinks girls are confusing.
