Unanswered questions
how can you hurt others
and show no care?
how can you not forgive
and say that it's only fair?
what happened to the friendship
we held so close before?
what is the definition of life
before we begin to shut the door?
why do the good guys
experience the rejection?
why do most people
usually look at complexion?
why were we born
when people were segregated?
why were the blacks
always the ones that were hated?
when is it ever
the right time to tell?
& why does it always
end with a simple farewell?
why do things occur
when we least expect it?
why do things pile up
bit by bit by bit?
why are we afraid to
believe in what we want?
why are those who do
end up being daunt?
why do people
refuse to believe?
right or wrong
we tend to leave.
how can we walk straight
and avoid those mistakes?
it's like saying everything's
possible; there won't be any aches.
how can you turn
and walk away?
with no simple apology
what will that convey?
how can you take
the pain of being hurt?
stabbed broken wounded
& feeling like stupid old dirt?
how could you careless
about those around you?
without even knowing
everything they have to go through?
isn't it time
to take a chance?
to prove to the world
that we will advance?
should today be the day
we open our eyes?
to save the world
for we are wise.
