Youth: Arina was left at a Dojo when she was a baby so she doesn't know who her family is other than the man who ran the dojo whom she called father. Most of Arina's time was spent helping in caring for the property, or training with her father. While she lived there, many foreigners visited Russians Englishmen and several others, although they never stayed long she would serve them their food and listen to their stories and learned their language. One of the boys that had arrived to train under her father was named Yoshimitsu Anku he was a quiet boy and the two became really close friends.

Teenage Years: Arina at the age of 13 had discovered her ability as she was cleaning the weapons in her father's dojo she had accidentally "remembered" the metal of the blade, so when she was pretending to have a Katana in her hand as she train a Katana appeared in her hand, startled by the experience she opened her hands and the blade disappeared. Discovering this she started to figure out how she did it, and practiced using her ability. Also during this time Anku and her were both getting closer to each other. However at the age of 16 Arina watch her father's death. What she saw was a shadowed man dueling her father, his attack hit her father's katana and shattered it, then cutting him in the chest and stomach. When she ran out to catch her father fall the man walked away and disappeared she never followed after because she held her father till he died, she also told him her secret of creating weapons, he smiled at her and told her he always new she was special and he just didn't know how much. Even so Arina and Anku still get work either protecting or fighting.

Adulthood:At the age of 18 Arina's friendship with Anku evolved into a love relationship and at this time they were to be betrothed, unfortunately shortly after Arina told Anku about her ability. Anku did a 180 to her calling her a demon and a freak. Barely escaping his attack she quickly grabbed a few things mainly food, water, the shard of her father's katana, her shukachi (a flute made from bamboo), and a few clothes. She also was able to retrieve two horses one of which to sell for later. About three months later she is on foot running for her life when she is attack by Anku, barely able to parry his attack she starts running in the opposite direction. At which point she trips on a root and falls into a different person's arms, looking she discovers two allies Gregory or Ra and Bryon who called himself Cronos. Helping Arina to Bryon's time the two split way with Gregory so that he may return to his time. Upon entering Bryon's time line she was introduce to Roxanne or Demona being her preferred name, and NEVER call her Roxy. It wasn't shortly after meeting Roxanne that the three teamed up to be a new group of X-Men.

1. Arina carries with her a few coins from her time, Shakuchi (bamboo flute), and the shard from her father's sword.
2. Arina made a pact with herself to never let anyone get hurt while she could do something about it, unfortunately this could get her kill or seriously hurt.
3. The reason Arina carries a piece of her father's sword is remembrance as well as to use when she can't touch anything else.
4. Arina has learned survival skills from her times living in Japan: Savanging for berries, hunting for meat, cooking on an open fire (Survival).
5. Arina is not familiar with the technology of today and it is VERY apparent.
6. Arina loves to play her Shakuchi because it's soothing, and loves to garden because it clear her line of thinking.
