When I was younger I wanted to grow out my bangs but it drove my mom crazy because I let it fall in my eyes. She use to tell me that I had such pretty blue eyes so I shouldn't cover them with my hair. I didn't care though so I just kept them like I wanted them until the day when I was zoning out in front of the TV and a pair of hair clippers came into view. I reacted to late and that was the end to one whole side of my bangs so my mom gave me a choice I could let her cut my hair. or I could walk around like an idiot with half my bangs cut off. I picked the third choice I went to my sister and had her cut them. Now I have long bangs that I tuck behind my ears but when my moms around I untuck them and let them hang infront of my eyes and she still hates it.
