I thought you were the answer to the pain…
The flame that would melt the ice encasing my heart for so long…
Your smile, your voice, it captivates me, brought me closer to you,
To what I thought was your love…
But I guess more than my heart was frozen,
Your warmth brought back all the sanity,
All the pain that had been frozen in my mind for so long,
The surge of all those memories and dreams flooded my soul,
Shattering the icy core of my being…
Here I am, left alone once your flame died out,
And your attention shifted on to another…
I’m left to piece my soul back together,
Each shard a tear shed in grief,
For loosing you, all that I had…
…Guess that’s what happens,
when Ice falls in love with flame…
