I was actually at school on time today, which is weird because I normally leave my house earlier only to end up being late to school. I'm wearing my grandpa's loafers today due to the fact that I have what seems to be poison ivy, and the tongue on my tennis shoe hits the spot where I have it. It doesn't matter to me though, because they are really comfortable, despite the fact that that they make me feel like somewhat of a grandpa. When I got to ISS, I had to write a paper about what I did, who I effected, and stuff like that. On the last question, I did raise some surprisingly good points. The following is taken directly from the original paper.
"I didn't hurt anyone, I got my work all caught up and turned it, I didn't stab anyone, or get into any fights, or anything...The last question is really like a double edged sword. What if my not being in class made it a positive place to be? If I were going to answer that question based upon this assumption, should I say that I'll skip school more often? (The question was : how can you make the class a positive place to be in the future?) If I did, I'd be right back in this little room writing this paper all over again. See, no one thinks about things like that. Why do they force kids who would be making the class a negative environment by being there, show up? Why not just let them skip? If they're doing something to make it negative, they are obviously not paying attention to the lesson being taught. SO, what's the point?"
