^^ okies here are some pics that we took up north (as in like Hibbing/Keewatin and the surrounding area... ninja )... surprisingly this year we didn't make a trip to Duluth as we usually do... O.o other than that, all was well and usual! On the way there and back I got to drive for a few hours...
Monday: we left in the afternoon after the 2nd load of straw had been unloaded, and got there early evening. Had supper at the Sportsmans (a bar that had REALLY good food...) and settled in at the hotel in Chisholm for the evening.

Tuesday: woke up around 9-ish, had breakfast at the hotel (waffles... ninja ), met up with marlene and g-ma to visit Ironworld. Took a 20 min. trolley ride, looked in an accompanying museum, then headed to Wal-mart. they were remodeling and rearranging, so it was chaos. >.< but I gots another hat!! ^^ so after that we dropped all that stuff off at the hotel and headed to the Stand for an early dinner. I had a corndog, some mozzerella sticks (yum yum) and a GINORMOUS root beer float! after that went swimming in the evening, and it was only AFTER i got out of the pool and was headed out that I put on my glasses- only to discover that some HOT guys had been there the whole time!! x.x lol... xD then I went home with marlene and g-ma and slept at their place instead of the hotel...

Wednesday: off to the lake!! we left in the morning-ish... first we stopped at the open-pit mine that's still in operation (that we go to every year lol...) so then once we got to the lake, I got out mom's laptop, the camera, and marlene's flashdrive and transferred some pics to marlene's flashdrive so we can put them on her digital photo frame that we had gotten her for christmas last year. =P once I got that done, I read some more, then went tubing! 3nodding only went once, though... wanted to drive the boat but i don't think Sherry heard me... rolleyes then we hung out some more, played a game of volleyball (quite fun), and had a charcoal-grilled dinner of steaks! yum... then just as I was getting done, I had to leave on a secret mission... SURPRISE PARTY FOR MARLENE! ^^ I was supposed to get there early, so I left with Sherry to go to the Swan Lake Country Club (where the party was being held) (along with Karen (who forgot shoes... stare ) and lonnie) in secrecy... marlene thought we were down in the basement watching tv... so then once we got there, she was utterly surprised!! there were TONS of ppl there that came for her... at one point she just started crying cuz it was too much. 3nodding so that was quite fun... had to help serve cake, then after eating some (delicious- had chocolate mousse in the middle... >.< wink of that and taking a few pics, someone (think her name was Carol...) took us (karen, lonnie, and I) back to the house to just relax. lonnie found a slot machine so he was having fun... stare i sat and read. so then after a few hours of that, mom had me finish transferring pics to the flashdrive, then we all said our good-byes and I headed back to marlene's to sleep there again. later that night i finished the book! 3nodding so then I got bored so I watched Jon and Kate Plus 8 until like 1 in the morning... karen says she hates that show... i like it. ^^

Thursday: we left for home again... wore my new shirt and hat and earrings and necklace (xD)... but anyways we stopped at one of mom's friend's mom's cabins (lengthly...) for a few hours for lunch... was quite nice! 3nodding had BBQs and chips and dried-up cookies for dessert... then karen and I explored the house/cabin... xD had fun in the garage being suspicious... they had this kitty that was really tame... lonnie kept scaring it... xD Pat (that's her name) also did the Iditarod (shuddap) in Alaska with her huskies... I got to pet 2 of the 3 they currently have at the cabin... then we left for home again (with a stop at DQ, of course... ninja )...
so now we're home! 3nodding tonight (friday night) we have to go to a baby shower for my cousin Michelle. yay she'll be the first Petersen cousin to have a kid! =D She was also our school's art teacher's fav student... =P right now she owns her own clay shop... she also does digital photography... she's like the most artsy Petersen... but, to a point, all of us with that blood in us have some artistic talent... ninja
