i went on a train up to california. it took 2 days to get up there, 3 days i would stay there, then 2 more days to get back home.

day 1:my sis (robin), my dad & i got packedpacked th previous day so we woke up early (4:30 early) & headed over to the train station. we expected to see alot of people there before us. there wasn't 1 person besides the workers to be our audience for the word rampage robin held. it's good you weren't there for that when we heard that the train would be 5 hours late beacuse another train got derailed.
soon another couple came in with there 2 (?) grandchildren. dad told them about the trains so we all chatted for a while.
dad, robin & i dicided to go out & explore the town. we mostly stayed in 16th street mall but we also just walked around. the hours went by very slowly, i thought i was reading the clock on my cell wrong but how could i be? it was analog. when it was nearing lunch we wanted to go to the spagetti factory, we were close by. they weren't open for a while. no spagetti factory, how about cheesecake factory? we went there. it was only a few minutes till they were open so we waited. there food was amazing. it was the first timei'd been there. we ordered 3 lunch dishes so we could share family style. we had left oversdid that stop us from ordering cheesecake? hell no!! are you kidding?
when we finished stuffing our faces we headed back to the train station. it was packed. my dad checked us in & no sooner did he comeback then a man was calling "red slips here please. red slips only." that was us. we showed the man our slips and was hurried over to the train. lines were forming at each of the doors with staff by them directing people to there right door. i asked "where do we go if we are going to emerryville in california?" she woman pionted down the train and said a number i can't remember now. i found the door to go into & waved to dad to show him.
in the train were lots of people just intent on getting a seat with there family. the seats were set up with 1 row going down each side and 2 seats next to each other in each row. robin & i sat together while dad sat in the other row on the side of us one seat in front of us.
