Review: Code Gease
Code Geass
I have just decided to make my own personal review of the new animé Code Geass. The anime is about a future Japan which is conquered by the empire of Britannia and the leading protagonist/main character is a forsaken prince of Britannia who gains a ability which sets him on a path to free Japan and at the same time to strike back at the empire of Britannia and avenge the death of his mother.
The story is very mature with some mild hentai adult content and violence, the leading character Lelouch Gains an ability called a Geass which enables him to give one absolute command which the recipient cannot refuse from memory alteration to an order to fight the only catch is he needs to be within eye contact distance and the ability only works once on the same person.
Lelouch attempts to find who was responsible for the assassination of his mother by using this ability the plot thickens as a bigger conspiracy reveals itself. Lelouch creates an alter ego a hero of the people by the alias of Zero which then forms a Black Knights unit which leads the rebellion against the empire of Britannia.
This is like watching a fusion of Death Note and Gundam Wing with it's own very cleaver and unique method of animé, narrative and pace of story telling. If you enjoy action animés with a cleaver storyline this is a must see!
