SAVING ME
I laid on the couch with a wet rag on my forehead, and a heavy blanket over me. He walked in, my love, my fiancé. I smiled slightly. When he wanted to kiss me, I looked away. "I'm sick I don’t want you to catch my cold." I told him. He just smiled and put his hand on my cheek, and said, "Let me check your forehead." I turned my head and as I did he kissed me. I blushed. I waited for him to pull away to look deep into his eyes that said I don't care. We both smiled.
He was off to work again. So when I got the chance I ordered, and bought something my sister needed for some dance I think. She had asked me to order it if I could and she'd pay be back. I stared at it for a moment but stopped when a knock was on the door. I got up and walked to the door. When I opened it there was a present with a tag and the delivery person already left. I picked up the package and read the small message as I walked inside and shut the door. I didn't get very far inside, for I now stared at the card. 'Sweetie can't wait for another GOOD TIME.' signed by my sister with a wink. The package was for my fiancé. I finally took notice to little hints.
I did every thing. I investigated and proved my horrific theory. My fiancé was cheating on me. I couldn't take it anymore. I was crying and I can't make eye contact with him anymore.
I was on the other side of the rail of our balcony, on the sixth floor. I heard both of them, my fiancé and my sister, walk in. I turned, still holding the rail with both of my hands, and faced them. My fiancé look scared when he saw where I was. My sister was nervous. My eyes filled with tears and I let go of the rail and slipped off. Quickly grabbing the railing the floor under us and pulling myself up and onto the balcony where they couldn't see me. I heard his voice. "I can't see her! . . . WHERE IS SHE?!" I could tell he was looking over the railing trying to find my body falling for its terrifying fate. The manager, a good friend of mine, let me into the vacant apartment. She told me when they were in the streets looking around so I hurried to my apartment grabbed a few things and left.
One month later, I stood outside of the apartment building, I no longer lived there. I lived in the abandoned building across the street. I had bought it, and plan on opening it with the help of my manager friend. I didn't need to hear their voices, because I sensed them near. I turned to my right and saw my ex with his new fiancée, my sister. They both looked surprised but their eyes told something else. My sister seemed disappointed I was alive but she couldn't tell if I was dead and a ghost or alive to ruin her life. HIS eyes shown that he was happy that I was alive but was scared to move, scared of what I do. I made his fear come to life. He stepped closer, to be the first to move. I turned to my left and ran through the crowd, as he froze in his tracks. To look back wasn't an option, even if I could sense the sadness rise in me, or his fear and sadness dwelling up. I kept running but not far. I tricked them and took the crowd and the misty rain as an advantage and made it back to the building across the street.
Is it really a coincidence when the roof of my building ends at the height of my old apartment window? I stand here everyday. Today I was letting the rain fall on my skin, my clothes, my hair. When I looked over at the window, after leaning my head toward the sky, I saw HIM. He was staring; I looked around and saw that he was staring at me. I turned around as he struggled to open the glass door to the balcony. I saw my manger friend, wearing her white outfit. I didn't think it was odd her clothes were not wet. The rain had stopped.
"What is stopping you?" she asked. "I've already forgave HIM because he's a guy." I chuckled, "Most of the time he acts before thinking. My sister on the other hand. She'll have to beg for my forgiveness. She's older than me, so there is no way that'll happen unless something happens to her." I looked at my friend, and smiled. "Don’t kick her out." We left the rooftop, right when HE got the doors to open. He stood there then fell to knees on the balcony. He wants to talk but I know he has something holding him back also.
Can I save him too? Or will he save himself?
