The Character Study Meme
By Closetfan
Introduction:
Hey there! Got a new character you want to study out for reference later? Maybe you want to update an older one? Heck, maybe you’re studying a character from a series of some sort for fanart reasons? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Welcome to the first ever Character Study Meme! Introduce us to your little ball of creation!
Part One: Face
Okay, then let us commence to the studying! Let’s draw the wonderful guy’s/girl’s face here in that cool 360⁰ thing. (neutral expression is best.)
Okay, let’s try us some basic expressions!
Happy Sad Angry Shocked
Good! Now let’s try drawing some more complex emotions!
Cocky Infatuated Excited Sexy Relief
Heartbroken Guilty Bored Crushed Sympathetic
Jealous Infuriated Betrayed Vengeful Frustrated
Tired Shy Afraid Embarrassed Confused
Good! Are there any special markings on the face that might need a closer look? (If there are none, draw them crossing their eyes!)
Cool Beans! Now a face is not just made for expressions! Try these basic actions.
Laughing Yelling Crying Eating Talking
Let’s end the face on a silly note. Have them stick their tongue out
Part Two: Outfit
Well you know, it takes more than a pretty face to have a good character! They need clothes, so let’s draw a little 360⁰ of them in their favorite outfit.
Ooh, work it! Okay, let’s see some detail. Start with their head gear. (If they don’t have any, draw them in a silly hat of some sort!)
Now let’s see that shirt.
Put some pants ON!
Now for the shoes!
AND the jewelry and other accessories, if you please. (If you character dresses plain and has none, draw them in a tutu.)
Now, just in case you didn’t draw them in something silly yet, draw them in something they would NEVER WEAR.
Part Three: Physical Features
So now were on to the character’s bodily features! Let’s start by showing off any unique things they might have. (Not including tattoos.)
Nice, have they got any tattoos? (If not, then draw something they would WANT tattooed on their body just for fun or maybe an idea for later!)
They have another bodily form? Draw it here!
Let’s try a few poses! Let’s just stand first.
Try running now!
Victory pose!
Fetal position!
Dance Monkey Dance!
Sit booboo!
Uhkay, wave bye now! We’re going on to the next section!
Part Four: Potpourri
Now it’s time for the random part! Let’s start with an all-time favorite: Baby time! (If they ARE a baby, then draw them as an ADULT!)
Cute! Now let’s draw them as an animal.
Awesome! Do they have a secret?
Woah! I wasn’t expecting that. So do they have a special someone? (If not, draw them hugging a teddy bear!)
How sweet! What about an enemy? (If not, make them rip apart a teddy bear.)
Okay, now draw them cosplaying some other character!
Do they have any special powers of abilities? (If not, then draw another cosplay!)
Are they Good or Evil?
Draw them based on your favorite song!
What color represents them most? Draw them with it!
You’re almost done with this torture. Draw a scene from whatever story they’re from that contains them!
Salutation:
Congratulations! You have successfully studied out your character. Looking back at this should prove useful and amusing! If you enjoyed yourself, please tell me. I’d love to see people use it! No tagging required, but draw anything else you think would be useful later here!
