Its okay to look!!

Me and Mimi were on a thrill of our lifetime, Dodging rain drops, fiercely avoiding the lightning. Holding eachother tight is all we could do to stay away from the threatening thunder storm. There were slashes of thunder under our feet as we ran. It was as if the gods were banging on drums rapidly. We sat there wondering when it was going to stop. Would it? We lay in my truck hoping all of this noise, irritating noise would stop. The horses were running fiercely, as the birds were chirping away in there nests. I don't know how long we sat there minutes,hours, at one point it felt like days. We didn't say a word to one another just watching the flashes boom before our eyes. The rain pouring down dramatically. As I watched I started to think of Sean. What was he doing? Was he okay? I wanted to curl up in his arms for comfort, and I wanted him to hold me and tell me everything was going to be just fine. I could feel his warmth peeking over my skin. I could feel his heart beat and that soft kiss he gave me on my forehead. Our fingers intertwined in one another's and we would slowly drift away. I got lost in my thoughts about him until I noticed Mimi was pulling on my arm. "Lisa, I'm scarred," Mimi said with the most dreaded look on her face. I gathered her up onto my lap and kissed her head gently. "There is nothing to be afraid of little one, I'll protect you; this storm is nothing it is most likely afraid of you, and it is just protecting its self." Mimi smiled up at me and closes her eyes, I started to rock her back and forth singing a slow song my mother used to sing to me.
