I barely got any sleep. One would think I was used to such things already. My dad's leaving for Cancun today with his wife and all my sisters, including my stepsister. He came by yesterday, but not to say goodbye. He came to ask my grandfather to drive him to the airport. Again, he neglected to tell me he was leaving. Luckily, I called my sisters just to talk and found out through them that they'd be gone for the week. In any case, he asked me to wake my grandparents once I woke up. I thought they'd be agitated at waking up at 1 a.m. and at every half hour increment since. So I waited until 6 a.m. My uncle decided to stay home from work yesterday. So I, the new guy, got to do all of his work on top of my own. I literally walked all over this damned city. On top of picking up something in the area of 30 passports that day, I had to do all of his consulate work. I first visited the Sweedish consulate to drop off a visa, then to the Malaysian consulate to pick up a passport, then to the Estonian consulate to drop off another visa. Unforunately, this last visa applicant didn't follow directions and I had to write a check on his behalf. Where the hell is Estonia, anyway? I hope my uncle's in today. Yesterday wore me out to no end. I have enough to do without tacking his work onto my schedule. On the positive side, I logged in 50 hours of work this week. On the negative side, my boss deducted an entire week's worth of pay because "that's what he does" to the new people. If I weren't so desperate for the cash right now, I'd have shoved all his itineraries up his a**. I should get to work now. Those passports aren't going to deliver themselves.
