I already knew it was gonna be great. I mean, how can it not be, when you can go to school late for one stinking bell and then go straight home?
Well anyways, I finished up my Bio project right on time with no incidents eventually, though there was this one that nearly made me die of a heart attack...but that's not important. Anyway, I even got some breakfast, a few crackers, and then I walked on to school. Since I didn't have to go to school till late (I was exempt from the first exam of the day), I didn't have anyone available to give me a ride, so I had to go to my Grandma's house and then walk from there.
Anyways, I had barely walked any distance of consequence when a classmate's mom drove by and offered to take me to school ^.^ So I ended up getting there really early, and had to go to study hall in the cafeteria until the bell rang for fourth bell exams. There I sat, bored out of my mind, looking in disbelief at the clock that said I still had a freaking half hour left or something, and desperately wishing for someone I knew to walk in but not able to think of any reason why anyone I talked to should be there.
Then, five minutes left or something, who should walk in but Terry! So we talk and I get in a good mood, and then I go to Spanish exams and talk to Sarah for a little bit. Then we take the exam, which is uber-easy, and I sit there bored waiting for Sarah to finish so we can talk silently. xD
Then suddenly the Senora puts a paper on my desk! I open it up! And it's...the color guard results!! Oh, I can't believe I forgot!!
I open it up hurriedly and skip the jabber, looking straight at the list of people taken in. Turns out 5/8 new people were accepted, who exactly the old guard members had already predicted. xD And, yes, Krista was captain, we all had predicted...but wait! What was this?!
My name...and then next to it...co-captain?!?

I still can't get over it. This is most likely the first leadership position I've ever had in my life. xD
Anyway. Moving on. Sarah and I wrote stuff on papers and showed to it each other until the last person had finished their exam, and then we talked for the last five minutes. Finally I could burst out into the hall and show my uber-excitement! xD
Then I went to lunch and saw all the friends I never got to see all year. xD It was great. And Jessica, our senior who just left us, actually came for lunch! Right after that Tayler, Jessica and I walked home together and finally here I sit, back at my grandma's. smile
AND GUESS WHAT ELSE? I've had braces since sixth grade. But now, just as I'm about to become a junior, they're coming off...TODAY! In about an hour!! xD
This may seem like not much to make someone so happy. But my emotions are easily swayed. So I'm very very excited. xD
