This is a poem excerpt from a book I'm writing called "Through The Wolf's Eyes" which is also the name of the poem. In the story, the poem is written by the leading lady, Evelyn. She writes it about a vampire named Zaide, the main character. He was never meant to see it. Enjoy, my few readers. Also, pay very close attention to the line organization, punctuation, and paragraphing, it is very important, read between the lines and use your imagination!!!!
Sing to the moon, my Zaide
My Zaide
For finally, your mind is clear enough to see it.
You bring out your fur,
Only slightly more pale
Than your ashen human flesh.
But your human flesh is dead and damned
To feed on crimson life.
Now you see through golen eyes,
A wolf's eyes.
You prance and strut,
Finally proud of what you are.
When it's through the wolf's eyes yo see,
I see a child.
Running.
Free.
Dog kisses and wagging tails,
Playfullness only brought by canine fangs.
Fangs natural and alive.
Come home to me soon,
We can sing to the moon.
Come back to me,
My Zaide, my Zaide.
