Godi's daily ponderings
The events of the day that I feel are important, my thoughts on certain subjects, the occasional rant and whatever else I feel the urge to write about.
The latest happenings in my life.
It's been a while since I've made an entry, so I figured I might as well.

First: Vacation in Saskatoon
Not too bad, but usually boring. On the plus side, I found this awesome store (Bootlegger), but unfortunately there isn't one in Ottawa. We also took a road trip up to Regina and stopped at Moosejaw to check out the tunnels and stuff made by Al Capone and the ones made by the Chinese immigrants. Pretty cool stuff.

I went hiking with my family on the weekend...apparently training for the expedition we're going on in late August. I really enjoy hiking. It's nice and quite, but not so strenuous that you can't carry on a conversation. Anyways, my dad and I were quite far ahead and this deer just got up from the brush, walked across the path about 10 feet infront of us, and wandered off into the woods. You don't see things like that very often. It was a beautiful sight... so peaceful and tranquil.

Speaking of activity, I've gotten back into running. Ok, I'm getting back into running. I've only been back into it for a little more than a week. I decided that I need to be in better shape since I've been playing midfield more often, which requires a lot more running. It's sad how less fit I am. I used to be able to run a 5-km with no problem. Now a 2-km makes me start to cramp up. I can still do the 5-km, but its more of a struggle than it should be. Still, it felt good to be out running again, and I've got lots of time before snow moves me indoors.

Oh, and I was out weeding the garden today. I went looking for this squishy thing we have to kneel on and discovered a dead mouse. My dad had set rat poison and the poor thing found it. My sister is now in hysterics and refuses to speak to my dad. Geebus.

So, back to weeding now
Later ladies,
-Godi

p.s.- We won our first game of the season yesterday. Against the 2nd place team I might add. It's a big thing because we FINALLY had enough people show up to play as a full team, even though no one bothers to come to practises.
