Lively shadows dance on the floor,
Haunting and taunting my inner core.
They jump and they dance so free,
I wish my sorrow would release me.
The moon was up, the sky was clear,
My soul filled with an eerie fear.
My body trembles,
My heart becomes empty,
Watching the shadows dance with such sovereignty
A bird flew,
My soul was lifted,
My mind in the sky it drifted.
My soul free and out the door,
Dancing with the shadows on the floor.
