Teh lifes and times of a scrawny kid
Well lets see, the title would seem to hint at me being skinny which I'am, however it would also lead you to believe that i have a life..which i don't :D However every now and again something so huge so catastrophic happens that it must be posted
Well for awhile now i've been thinking about alot of this stuff, but havn't written it down in any way shape or form for various reasons. But recently I've begun talking with someone who..fascinates me, and the way they think has kind of "open my eyes" to alot of things.

Life is basically pointless, why? because the human race is ******** no matter what any one does, all life will eventually end, and as said in Donnie Darko "every living thing dies alone". So why do we carry on? Why do we continue making improvements on ourselves (that don't really matter, what effect does bigger muscles, or bigger boobs have on society as a whole?) or continue our "advancements in science"? The greater we are now the sadder it will be when we realize that our time is at an end, and we WILL eventually end. But also, why do people have kids if they think life is pointless? why bring another generation into a world that is steadily becoming worse and worse, global warming? can be stopped in theory, the sun ending like every other star in the universe? We can't really fix that one, and even if we spread out to other planets, more stars will die, and again..eventually we will die out. Whats the point of doing anything when nothing you do will actually leave an imprint on time..it may impact human history, but thats only around as long as humans are, and chances are you'll be long forgotten by the time humands are gone anyways..

So my friends whats the point of everything we do? Why do we keep doing anything. Why work jobs that you hate, Why listen to music that you hate because its whats cool, why dress in a certain way to fit in, none of it matters, do what you want to do to be happy, because in the long run...you don't matter.

    Life isn't pointless, though.

Not all of the human race is ******** up, how can you generalize it like that? Not everyone dies alone, but I could be misunderstanding the way you're saying it. Many people die with loved ones by there side reassuring them that they're going to a better place, that they have lived a meaningful life and that everything they have done is important to someone in some way.

If you mean in the literal sense, then some people do die alone, yes. Hobos die on the streets all the time, alone, and cold, with no one around them. Some seniors die alone in their bed, that's true. But not everyone does.

We carry on to give life to others, because life is such a precious gift. You don't understand it now, I don't even understand it fully, but it matters. The whole bigger muscles bigger boob thing is in her genes and helps us select a physically healthy (muscle wise, it's a physical attribute that makes a person look physically fit) and that by mating with them, our off springs survival risk go up. That's the scientific way of looking at it.

We live on to make an impact on history, yes, but think of it this way-
You become president, and you allow some way for humans to move onto another planet. Well, you of course you'll be remembered for as long as humans exist. But you're right, what if we do die out (because we will)? You say that what you have done did not make a greater impact on anything but humans, and since they no longer exist, neither does your memory, thus your life is pointless. Well, what happens if we did something on that planet (which could only be done because YOU allowed us to go there) and once we die out, that thing we did was able to sprout new life (like our wastes seeped into the planets core and thus created some microorganism). I know you're going to say 'well, that's going to cease to exist, too' what happens if that cycle continued, then? Things die, so new things are reborn giving all organisms, all life, even non-living things a chance to explore and feel such things as we have- isn't that amazing, though? Isn't that worth living?

I know you'll say no, and that life is still pointless.

I know you wrote this a while ago, but I wonder, do you still think this? Do you still think you don't matter, and nothing you do matters?

Because if you do, that isn't fair to me ]: I know how selfish that sounds, but it's true.

When you hold me, I'd give the whole world to always remember that feeling that I have now, and I'm so thankful that I'm able to experience such bliss.

So, why wouldn't the greatest purpose in the world be to give life to someone else who can also experience such feeling, such happiness?

I probably worded everything wrong, but I hope you can understand what I was getting at.
