running under skys so dark
wispering of the feast to come
the moon to guide us
the scent is found
the deer is alert
watching the night
the startled deer runs
and we chase along
the blood of the deer
is on the ground as
the deer falls
a feast to behold
for eyes like mine
eating away
then it is dawn
human again
as school starts today
enchanted by the call the next night
as the moon awaits us
till school is over
and we can once roam free again
in our land of trees
summer is here
and more prey in sight
by the light of the moon
as we are hunting and playing tonight
in such delight
chasing a rabbit
then letting it go
running and howling
at the moon
just to chase another route
and as the sun rises
im fast asleep
dreaming of what to do
tonight
in the light of the moon ninja
