Kindergarden
"Boo!" shouted a voice behind me.
I jumped around, face-to-face with my best friend, Jake.
"Ha ha! I scared you!" he said, prancing around me.
"Did not!" I yelled, tackling him.
"Oof! Ow, you're strong... for a girl!" he said, pushing me off.
He stood up, stuck out his tongue, and ran off.
"Hey! Get back here!" I yelled, running after him.
Jake and I could tease each other day and night, and we still never get tired. We've been best friends since the day we were born. At first, I had no friends at all; everyone would ignore me or tease me because I was a tomboy. But then Jake still sticked my side when anyone would tease me; he would try to hit them back. But he would always miss and fall... into a puddle of mud. That seems to follow whereever he goes. Anyway, back to the chasing. As I closed up on him, I pounced on him like a tiger! I guess my pouncing skills were a little bit stronger than I thought. I pounced on him so hard, that I pushed both of us off a hill. We were rolling and rolling! By the time we got down the hill, it was way past an hour! No, just kidding, but it sure felt like it! Jake was ok, some bruises here and there. But mine was heavy; there was bruises all right, but some trees cut my lip, scraped my legs, and ripped parts of my hair away. Usually a normal girl would bawl and cry her eyes out, but I'm not that type of girl at all. I've been in more serious situations than this one actually. By time we reached my house, it was midnight. Our parents didn't care, they were too busy with their own lives.
